Good hotel

Good hotel on a great location. Little outdated. No power outlets by the bed in 2025 is simply not good enough… Smiling attentive staff. Unfortunately a little superficial or American standard over the service since they don’t have a clue if you ask them for anything more complex than to tie their shoelaces. But overall happy with the experience. Don’t miss the roof top bar. Great river view. The gym have seen better days and are in need of some care. Good value for the money. Will definitely consider staying at this hotel again, but will also be open for trying a new place at the right price.

I last stayed here about 25 years ago when it was a charming small colonial hotel. It’s now 5 star, but has much less charm. On the positive side, the staff are lovely and the pool area is still great. Otherwise, it’s a bit drab. The lobby is ok, but other areas are looking a bit tired and not really deluxe. The rooftop is nice, but the food is overpriced mediocre, old fashioned western , accompanied by terrible lounge music with poor quality performers so loud they were driving out customers. Breakfast was ok, but the pastries were always stale. Overall, it’s not terrible, but seems desperately in need of new management. There are now much better 5star hotels for the same money.

Grand is a Good Word

A beautiful traditional hotel right in the perfect location in the bustling Ho Chi Minh City. The staff are fantastic, the hotel has a lovely atmosphere and beautiful decor and the breakfasts are superb.
