Favourite Hobart Hotel

Very central hotel, easy walking to most places I wanted to go, and convenient public transport when walking wasn’t an option. How can you dislike a hotel that has a chocolate hour every afternoon!

The stay was good and comfortable. The staff were friendly and accomodating. Chocolate jouer was wonderful. However the internet was slow and the tv signal kept dropping. Also parking is not provided and is expensive.

Unfortunately the TV maintenance Man let himself in, he did knock (quietly) but before I could open door he walked in. No call or heads up from Administration/Reception. I had only just literally arrived and was about to change. This should have been done prior to my arrival. As a woman travelling solo my safety and security if of upmost importance. Staff did apologise and the rest of my stay went smoothly. I do recommend staying here, the food was amazing and their hair products etc absolutely beautiful.

Service from the staff was incredible and everyone was extremely friendly and efficient. We were put in a room that had no view except for the concrete building outside which is not the hotels fault however due to this, the room gets son natural light and the room did have a mouldy smell at times as well as there being no vent in the bathroom. Great location and hotel otherwise but if staying I’d suggest upgrading and paying more for a better room.

The quality of the decor is excellent with attention to detail , the restaurant is also excellent , my steak was cooked to perfection , the sides where almost of Michelin standard, Being bit of a coffee snob , wasnt disappointed there either , the staff especially Berlin at the desk iate so efficient and friendly , she gives you a personal experience and very accommodating right down to the vallet parking .

Firstly upon checkin I was basically ignored by the checkin staff (I was the room booker), and they focused on the second person staying with me and kept asking her for her personal information including license despite the booking being under my name. After checkout we were invoiced and charged for two mini bar items that we didn't consume plus a credit card surcharge for that. After calling this was reversed and labeled "minibar denial" but the credit card surcharged wasn't. This experience despite the nice hotel would make me think twice about staying here.
