We stayed 1 night at Jade Court, in unit #1 which is right on the roadside so we found it very noisy with truck's going past all night long to the local dairy factory. The photos on expedia showed a modern bathroom however our unit had not been refurbished so it looked quite tired. The motel is very close to Hokitika so walkable to both town and the beach, which meant we had a good selection of options for dinner. We found the one bedroom unit adequate for 4 adult's overnight stay.

We were allocated unit 1 right next to the road. We were told on arrival not to let the road worry us as it’s rarely used. It was the main highway. Kept us awake all night. I’m not sure where hardly used came from. Asked for another heater for the spare room for the kids but was told only 1 heater per room and to put it in the middle of the unit. Didn’t heat up the whole unit.

Good location and friendly staff. The room had the basic necessities like kitchen utensils and towels. Spacious room but a bit dated. The shower was a little temperamental, you either got ice cold or boiling hot water. All in all, it was a good stay.
