We were very grateful for the staff who moved us from a room that had a strong chlorine smell to a room that was far away from the pool. The rooms were clean but the facility needs to be updated with fresh paint, drywall patching and new wallpaper on the stairs.

When I booked on Expedia the room communicated king bed & Lakeview. When I checked in I was told that was not on their records & we were given two Queen beds at the very end of hall & the lake view was hidden by condos. We saw a tiny bit of lake through trees. We received texts the morning we left to go to the property that said if we checked in early we would be charged $20 per hour early or late. The resort fee was $35 per day. We never used pool or anything…we will never go back. Disappointed ☹️☹️

Rooms are very outdated, and hallways have wallpaper peeling etc. The outside of the property is very weedy and overgrown. No docking space for a temporary stay, we launched at another location but were unable to park the boat for a short time to load.

It was a great weekend stay! Wish we could have stayed longer! Enjoyed the beach, the lake, the pool and the ability to use the resort’s equipment to play tennis, basketball and kayak/canoe. Loved the pulled pork sandwiches!!

Pleasant stay at HV

Overall, we had a very positive experience with our stay. The beds were comfortable, and our room was clean. The resort is a little outdated. Nonetheless, the pools and beach were lovely. The atmosphere is very laid back, which we thoroughly enjoyed. In room microwaves and recycling bins would have been appreciated. Beautiful location, great daily activities, and excellent service.
