I was astonished at the lack of cleaning in the room. The duvet covers weren’t changed. The bins weren’t emptied once in 5 days, bathroom surfaces weren’t wiped and neither were the sinks. Literally the duvet was folded in half, pillows plumped and towels replaced only if we’d put them in the bath. A couch blanket had fallen off and it was just left in a crumpled in a heap on the floor the whole time. Definitely no vacuuming took place either. Unexpected and unexplained.
We ordered an airport taxi the night prior to departure to ensure efficiency, double-checked in the morning prior to breakfast , and needless to say it hadn’t been ordered, so a call was placed whilst I stood there!
I enquired about coffee and snacks during the day as was told “ no, not here, you have to go outside” no offer of local information or guidance.
The breakfast was fab as was the room it was served in.
Good location in the old town, most staff were pleasant, but several were somewhat surly and customer service was lacking.
Shame really as it’s a quaint place with character.
