Don't miss out!

We have stayed here before. It is 5 mins. from the tram stop at Sultanhamet.The hotel is in the perfect position for site-seeing. Do buy an Istanbul card to travel about-half price on tram, bus and ferry. The management always helpful, the rooms all have air-con and a small fridge and TV.The included buffet breakfast is an excellent start to the day. The stairs could be a problem if very unsteady on your feet. I always manage--slowly--I am in my 70's.

Wonderful hotel, value for money

I stayed solo in mid-May, and I love the hotel. It is very near major attractions like the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia. Staff is very helpful. Value for money considering its location.

Simple hotel in a great location

This is a value for money, basic hotel with all you need for a city break. A stone's throw from the sights, a few metres from restaurants and kiosks. The negative part? Lots of steep flights of stairs and no lift so not for guests with walking difficulties!

In the Heart of Old Istanbul

Great! It is near all of the major attractions of Istanbul: Sultanahmet Mosque (Blue Mosque); Underground Cistern; Hagia Sophia; Topkapi, Bosphorus Strait, etc.

Convenient location

We were given a room that had a leaking shower and when we mentioned it to the Manager we were provided an alternate room that was better. The air conditioner in the room was not adequate to cool the room. The breakfast was good and the service was friendly.

What a great place to stay!

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Atlantis Hotel and its as good as ever. A small hotel tucked away on a quiet back street but only 130m from the Sultanahmet tram station that connects with the airport.. All the major sights of the old city are in walking distance. Great Turkish breakfast on the top 4th floor with views of the city. Friendly, accommodating staff. Highly recommended!

Spent three nights. First night in a room facing west could not go to sleep until 4 AM due very loud singing at next door restaurant. Nights 2,3 in south facing room less noise but a smelly room

Nice location and friendly staff! But the room and washroom are very old! Room and room very close, I could hear a kid crying all night! Wifi is good, both in room and lobby! But, For this price I would rather find another place to stay!

Excellent location

The location of the hotel is excellent. Everywhere is within walking distance. The staff are very helpful and they have lots to offer for the ground tour. The room was comfortable however the towels were not changed daily.

Close to where you want to be

The hotel is a low budget place with no frills. The price matched the quality provided, but I didn't go there to stay in the room all day. It was clean even though the place looked a little rough around the edges. There are nice street front cafe's right outside the hotel. The location is excellent and most of the sights are within walking distance, the central location is the real attaction as well as the price.

Great location and super helpful staff!

Atlantis hotel is in a great location. It is very close to Sultanahmet tram station (2 mins walking), Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and Basilica Cistern (3-5 mins walking). Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace Museum is also in a walking distance (10-15 mins). The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They speak perfect English and were willing to assist me with all my questions. We had free WiFi all the time in our room and I enjoyed the breakfast especially the omelet ( you need to ask for it). Room was not luxurious. It had basics but was clean and bed was very comfortable. Disadvantages: no lift ( hotel staff carried my luggages to my room without me even asking for help), and it might be noisy in the evenings.

The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. The room size was small for our family of 4, but it was maintained well. Cleaned everyday and breakfast was nice on the rooftop. I really enjoyed the breakfast lady, Horriya's omelets! She was fantastic!

Great Location and brilliant staff

Great hotel. The staff are all wonderful without exception. Helped us settle in and were very accommodating. Always free for a chat and advice. The location is second to none for exploring Sultanahmet and the more distant sites with the tram station 50 yards away. The rooms are relatively small but comfortable. Wifi and a computer for communal use are also provided. Local restaurants are open till midnight but are a bit pricey, overnight the area is quite. Wholeheartedly recommend, just one thing to bear in mind is that there is no lift, but I'm nitpicking now.

Seen better days

The hotel is in a great location, although you may be hassled to go into one of the surrounding restaurants. Our room had some curtains missing we were told we would be moved the next day as they were full. In the end they added a few more curtains. They were not the 'black out blinds' they advertise, nor was there tea and coffee in the reception. The room was clean. It had not been decorated since the 1970's judging by the curtain fabric. However, the staff were friendly and did not charge us for leaving our bags at reception whilst we went out for the day

Sultanhmet--why go elsewhere?

Atlantis staff were SUPER esp. Custom egg maker in the AM--"Wulia"! The location of the hotel was AMAZING too. The hotel itself was a little dingy/rundown though. No bugs or dirty linens, but lots of yanks wouldn't appreciate the conditions overall.
