After an hour plus on the phone with Expedia trying to straighten out our reservation in saint Augustine, Expedia made a reservation for us at the Hyatt Regency in Jacksonville. The welcoming staff was amazing and super pleasant. This place knocks it out of the park! I couldn’t be more pleased. Despite the aggravation of our Augustine reservation being screwed up, this place more than makes up for it.

“Technical” issues

We arrived to check in at 3, I did the early check in online and chose the hr earlier check in. When we arrived to check in we were informed our room was not ready. OK understandable, technically check-in is at four. So I provided my phone number to receive a text when the room would be ready. By 430 We still heard nothing. Keep in mind This is 30 minutes after normal check-in time. We were on the hotel property this entire time waiting. After standing in a long line to check the status of our room, we were informed that our room had been ready for a while. The hotel attendant was very apologetic in regard to us never receiving our text. However, this delay, put us behind on our evening events. It’s a small inconvenience, but one that I think should be handled. Otherwise our evening at the Hyatt was to Hyatt standards as it is every time we visit this hotel.

Beautifully situated on a quiet but centrally located corner overlooking the St John’s river- we enjoyed our stay immensely! Beautiful views, quick access to dining and sightseeing options. Comfortable beds, friendly staff. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to JAX!

We did wish we could have adjusted the AC so it didn’t run all night. It was too loud. Everyone was very attentive, from the check in parking attendant to the check out rep. At check in, Steve was quick to change our room from the 15th floor to a lower floor. Thanks for that!
