My recent six-night stay was mostly positive, with one exception. The hotel's location was ideal for exploring the area, and our king bed with a partial ocean view was spacious and comfortable. We also enjoyed the balcony which included a small table and a clothes drying rack. As travelers with a baby under 1, we appreciated the hotel offering of a crib/pack and play, which was a huge plus so we didn't have to pack one. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, making for a pleasant atmosphere. We also enjoyed the onsite restaurants. However, there was one significant downside: our room was only serviced once during our entire stay without prompting the front desk / guest services. The other four days we needed to call to receive housekeeping. While we understand the hotel may have been booked to capacity, it's expected for housekeeping to come without prompting unless otherwise requested.

The property was fine and I love the location. I knocked a couple stars off for two reasons. 1. What they consider a "partial ocean view" might not be what they think it means. Standing on my balcony and peering over the railing to see a sliver of bay is not, in my opinion, a partial ocean view. 2. Noisy! This is room dependent. My "partial ocean view" room overlooked the valet parking, loading dock, and outdoor dining area. Apparently the hotel loads up on supplies at 4am in the Hawaii time. 18 wheelers in reverse make that classic beep, beep, beep. Too much for my single paned, sliding patio door to block out. People on east coast time apparently like to eat at the buffet at 6am Hawaii time. Once again clank, clank, clank of the plates and glasses. Very jarring noises to my ears. Now you may ask, why didn't I request a room change. Well I did, but the hotel was full and they couldn't accomodate until my trip was half over. Now I would ask, "why did they assign me such a room in the first place?" I'm not sure. I arrived promptly at 3pm and it wasn't like I got the last room left. The resort charged $30 per day self parking and $35/day for services I didn't use and wifi that did not work. Apparently, I could have paid even more for better wifi. I declined that as my phone service was adequate. When I checked out of the hotel with my valid concerns, staff was having none of it. No concessions or refunds allowed!

Beautiful property. Nice pools with plenty of chairs. Watching the manta rays is interesting. Rooms were fine. We had a partial ocean view which was really non- existent. We found the beds way too soft and uncomfortable.

Vintage Resort in Paradise

Great location and friendly staff. The hotel is showing its age (built in 1970s), but the facility was generally clean. I did witness staff vacuuming the pool each morning. We upgraded to a balcony room overlooking the ocean. The balcony was HUGE, although the chairs weren't very comfortable. The fitness centrr had lots of new equipment for resistance / weight training. It could use more cardio equipment. One negative was lack of sanitary wipe to clean equipment after use. I even asked front desk to refill (said they would), but wasn't rectified while I exercised for another 45 mins. Maybe biggest negative was lack of dining options, however the food that we did order was well prepared (just wish they had another venue or two and more items to choose).

We really enjoyed staying at the Outrigger. Our room was very nice and the view was incredible. The pool area was also very nice. We had the voyager 47 club for the week which was great. The breakfast and apps in the evening was very much enjoyed.

This hotel was built in the 1970s. The rooms were updated but the property is very concrete jungle and a weird vibe. Parts of it aren't open . No beach access. It's situated on a rocky area. The adult pool is in the center of the property with towering rooms around it so feels like a fishbowl with no beach view. Pool bar closes at 7 leaving one restaurant open for the entire resort. It was packed for dinner. Bartenders were rude, stressed, abrupt and kept telling us how long the food was going to take because they are understaffed. The food was not good. I ordered an overpriced chicken meal that was dry and horrible . I literally asked for some salad dressing to put on it to give it some moisture and flavor and they acted like that was a huge ask because they were so busy. Not walkable to any place that is convenient outside of the resort. Thank goodness we were just there for one night to be closer to the airport. Not a good way to end our otherwise wonderful HI vacation

The resort is beautiful on the ocean. The staff are fantastic and friendly. Originally we booked a “resort view” which was actually a parking lot view. Very disappointing. We talked to the staff and they confirmed that resort view is a view of the parking lot. We upgraded to an ocean view and couldn’t be happier. I only wish it was clear when booking what we were getting when we reserved a “resort view”.
