I had a wonderful stay here. The location is excellent—just a short walk to Queen’s Hotel, Kandy Bake House, and the beautiful Kandy Lake. The room was spacious with an exceptionally large and comfortable bed and a lovely view. Most importantly, Dilrukshi was outstanding-kind, compassionate, and truly made my stay memorable. The staff were very helpful as well. Great value for the price. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

The room was adequate; however, there was no hot water, and the bathroom had mold. In other rooms next to ours it was boiling hot. Understanding the meal service was quite challenging, as it took 90 minutes to receive dinner. Additionally, the hotel is not just a 3-minute walk from the lake and other attractions as advertised. I will not take guests there again.

We stayed 1 night en route to Ella. Great room. Enormous comfortable bed. Dinner was delicious. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. They arranged a driver to take us to Ella because the train wasn’t working. Thank you!!

Met at Reception by the friendly Reception staff who made the check-in process really easy. Room was as exactly as the photos portrayed. Spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom. Location was perfect as it was close enough to the Lake but quiet. Perfect for a stay in Kandy.

Very friendly staff, especially Adesh who patiently helped me get my luggage it to the top floor (and back down again at check out). Room was lovely with great mountainside views. Clean, comfy beds. Linens were a bit run down, but clean.

We had a fantastic stay at Cassendra Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The room was perfectly clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a perfect place to relax after a long day. A special mention to Dilrukshi, who truly made our stay feel like home. Her warm hospitality and genuine care made such a difference she went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
