We arrived late at this hotel to find zero parking in the small parking lot. I inquired about it at check in, where I was gruffly greeted by the hotel clerk which was dressed like a construction worker. He was smoking outside when we arrived and I assumed him to be a guest until he rushed in ahead of us to the desk.
I asked where I could park as there were no spaces available, except one but I would have boxed a big truck and trailer in if I parked there. He shrugged and said don’t park in the plaza next door or they’d tow me. I asked for where else and he said, “you’ll have to just go find a spot.” I asked if I could get a refund if there was no parking spot as I can’t stay there for the night if there’s no room to park. He said, “I don’t know, I’m not a manager.” I found a spot on the street thankfully and Mr. Couldn’t Be Bothered gruffly handed me my room key with muttering some words about breakfast and checkout so fast that I couldn’t understand.
The room had hairs everywhere. I plucked about 20 off the two beds. The fold out couch was terrible and just a box of springs with no padding. There were hairs all over the bathroom floor and counter as well.
It was disgusting but we were there at midnight and I didn’t assume the guy downstairs would help me with a new room. So we plucked hairs off and slept.
It’s a nicer/newer hotel, so it’s a shame they have no ample parking and the cleaning crew doesn’t do a good job.
Breakfast staff was nice and attentive.
