Love the friendly and family oriented layout of this property. Grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The extra large hot tub is a perfect temperature and a great spot to relax or meet other travelers. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The onsite Lava Lava Beach Club restaurant is very tasty and convenient for having food anytime of the day. The hotel rooms are updated and fresh. Great large screen Samsung smart televisions are a plus to stream your own apps and content when relaxing in the room. Each room has its own private balcony with 2 chairs and a side table. Bathrooms are roomy with walk-in shower and nicely decorated. Each room has its own safe and refrigerator. Downside is that there are no microwave ovens in the room. Only one microwave at the front desk store for guests to use. Overall, we loved our visit and will reccomend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel that is beachfront and has many amenities.

For our first time Kauai we booked our hotel a bit too late. I would give it 3 stars but location in Kapaa bumped it up to 4. The rooms were just okay and overall just an okay resort.

We (family of four) had the best stay at Kauai Shores over the week of Christmas! It is accurately represented by the pictures and details given. The grounds were impeccably kept, our room (with a kitchenette) was clean and suited our needs, but the best part was the hard-working staff. They were always friendly and approachable, and they went above and beyond to ensure guests had a pleasant stay. The location is excellent because you can walk to restaurants and bakeries, and there is a good-sized ABC grocery store too. I would absolutely stay here again.

I loved the location and the smaller property. Valet was convenient and prompt. Right on the beach and there was always a lounge chair available. Water stations to refill bottles was a plus. Perfect stay.
