Need better soundproofing.

I enjoyed the location of the hotel and the room itself. I do have two complaints both dealt with noise. The elevator could be heard all night long as it stopped on the floor. I easily heard it in my room. The other was the adjoining room, when they were laughing and talking I clearly heard their conversations, which makes me think that people heard mine the previously. That didn't make me feel good.

It’s a great location, our package included breakfast and we thought it was good. They have bikes you can use which is great! Daily parking is $50 unless you are Expedia VIP then it’s half off. It’s a nice hotel, renovated and clean.

The hotel was extremely clean and the staff super friendly. They were courteous and polite, something I hold in high regards from any place I visit. The rooms were super comfortable and the janitorial team was nice, polite and always smiled. The breakfast was also delicious and there was coffee and tea always available in the lobby 24/7. Needless to say, I had a great stay at Capitol Hill Hotel.

This place is getting tired…

I stay here several times a year and lately every time has had an odd occurrence. This time we had an issue with the hot water in the shower. Someone was sent immediately but I think it was just not enough hot water in the bldg. I continue to stay here because it is literally down the street from my daughter, but it’s getting to be time to find a new hotel. I’m also not a fan of the rooms in the secondary building. All the rooms always feel like they are missing furniture or light fixtures.

There were a couple of things that were not acceptable. 1. We had to call about an issue with our original booking of 2 rooms. Over a phone call to resolve the issue, the price on the hotel website and over the phone were not the same and the front desk staff would not match it. 2. We checked in around 10 pm and discovered soon after the bath / shower drain was not working at all. After reporting the issue, maintenance came and fixed it. This was an hour process - this is now 11 PM. My question is why was this issue not found and fixed when getting the room ready for the next guest? This was an inconvenience we should not have had.

We booked a King Classic and bed was a queen. When I explained this to the front desk, I was told I was wrong. So I measured the mattress with a measuring tape. 60", not 76".

Great location, cool showers

Really enjoyed our stay. Very clean room. Location is perfect for touring DC. Nice outdoor places to eat very close to hotel. The only negative which is kinda big, you will have a cold shower maybe Luke warm if you’re lucky. Old hotel, “the water doesn’t travel well up the pipes” is what I was told. Without even asking they came to our room and turned on all the faucets to attempt to bring up the heat. Didn’t really help:( otherwise it was a good stay, very pricey when you add on room taxes and services charge extra 150 per night!!’
