Sunsets in Palms' Paradise

This unique property possesses easygoing charm & has been in the family since 1951. It was purchased by owners’ grandparents to use as a fishing cottage. It has since evolved, creating a classic Keys Conch house.  (CONCH is a term used to describe a Florida Keys native & is derived from shell found in local waters). Guests enjoy 1 acre of waterfront privacy surrounded by coconut palms & endless bay front views and offers spectacular sunsets, wildlife encounters, & direct boating access.

Property is a prime location for boaters with a quick, easy access to the Intracoastal Waterway & short rides out to the Atlantic Ocean and bayside islands & restaurants.

Renovations occurred in November 2025 consisting of a new kitchen with modern appliances and finishes and new flooring in kitchen/dining area.



Nature & Waterfront Setting: where you can observe dolphins, manatees, pelicans, herons, and ibis from your own backyard.



One acre of lush, natural Florida Keys habitat with coconut palms, sea grape trees, buttonwoods, and bougainvillea.



Private Estate, dock, boat basin (accepting boats up to 30’), and swimming/snorkeling area.



Maximum Occupancy: 4 adults + 3 children.



Bedroom 1/Bathroom 1 – King Bed + pull-out chair (twin cot for small child), ensuite bathroom (tub/shower) TV.



Bedroom 2/Bathroom 2 – Queen Bed, ensuite bathroom (shower), desk.



Living Room – Large screen TV, Queen sleeper sofa + barn door to close off space for privacy.



Enclosed Screened in Patio – Lounge seating, TV, bar, and dining table (seats 6).



Comforts include: Jacuzzi, WiFi, basic cable, washer/dryer, dishwasher, Pack ’n Play, and high chair.



Outdoor Amenities: 3 Single Kayaks, 1 Double Kayak, 1 Paddleboard, Jacuzzi with water views, Corn Hole Toss, and Ample parking.



Pet Policy



Up to 2 dogs allowed. Non-refundable pet fee (based on breed/weight). Must request approval when booking.



NOTES:



No more than 4 adults + 3 children on property at any time (strict).

“There are two bedrooms, each with its own private en-suite bathroom. There is no shared hallway bathroom.”

Do not store fish/bait inside the refrigerator or freezer.



Coral reefs are located offshore and require a boat to access. Please be careful of their delicate nature.

BEACHES

IN THE KEYS – The only natural beaches in the Florida Keys are at Bahia

and the many Sand Bars. The rest of the beaches are man made. The Keys

are built on Natural Coral Rock unlike the rest of the state of Florida

that have natural sandy beaches. The Keys are not for Avid Beach Goers.

If you have a biat this house is a DREAM!We brought our 25 foot boat for the Thanksgiving holiday. Incredible to walk outside each day and take off on a ride. The newly remodeled kitchen was wonderfully appointed. We cooked more than we ate out. Including a Thanksgiving turkey! The host was very responsive when we had questions. We would stay again!

What a lovely property! It was relaxing and quiet and a lot of fun. House was charming and very cozy. Ample space for all and so much to do without even leaving the backyard! From the hot tub, to the paddle board to swimming and even a rope swing in the back! We had a blast and can’t wait to return!

Spring Break in the Keys

This was a great house and location for our family spring break trip. We brought our boat down with us and had a wonderful time having it docked in our yard the entire stay so it was easy to be in and out throughout the day. We have teenagers that love to fish and the basin gave them the opportunity to do so even when we weren’t on the boat. This house is next door to the dolphin encounter center so you can see the dolphin all day and we also had a manatee in the waterway one morning also. The yard is huge and we had a great Easter egg scavenger hunt and lots of volleyball games throughout the week. The screen porch was our favorite hang out. The covered portion is comfortable to hang out in and the table was big enough for all of us to eat together. We had enough space to park and disconnect the boat trailer as well. Great house!

Loved it all again!

This was our second year returning to this really lovely house and beautiful yard. We planned our trip so that we could specifically stay at this house again. Everything about the house is comfortable and well-loved. You immediately feel at home! We especially enjoy the "outdoor living room" and sitting out by the water for spectacular sunsets! There is lots to do in the area and some great restaurants and we partook of both but we also just loved hanging out at the house! One especially important feature to us is that it's pet friendly - our Bichon was a happy camper too! We will probably come again for a third stay next year!

Even though we had to deal with the remnants of Milton, the property more than made up for the weather. The yard could be enjoyed in any weather. The housd was perfect. The boat basin was a joy and kept my boat safe from the weather. Recommend it to families. Always something for evert one to enjoy.

Great house, bad timing

We loved the house. It was beautiful and so was the yard. We unfortunately were there when there was a lot of rain and so the mosquitoes were so bad that we could not be outside the entire visit without being bitten. One thing to note is that the guest bedroom is open at the top of the wall to the rest of the house. This was not a huge deal to us but if privacy is important then it could be an issue. The water the house is on is somewhat enclosed (it seems to be called a sound) and there were a number of sinking boats on the water, which to us, ruined the ambiance to a certain extent. We still liked taking out the kayaks that the house offered. It was really cool being next to the dolphin encounter. We could see them well from the top of the yard but couldn’t stay out long because of the bugs. The sunsets were beautiful too but again, we couldn’t stay out long, even with bug spray. We also loved being so close to John Pennecamp State Park for snorkeling and Mrs. Mac’s is right down the road, which has the absolute best key lime pie.

Coconut Paradise

My family and I had an amazing time at Sunset Palms ! The house and property is absolutely beautiful and accommodating . Very professional host. The coconut trees are beautiful, we even found a couple on the ground to take home. Kayaking during sunset is a must! My family and I enjoyed the dolphin shows next door . The hot tub was nice and relaxing and very clean . Easy access to all of Key Largo . Highly recommend Sunset in Palms Paradise!

Definitely Felt Like Paradise!

My husband and I and our little pooch loved our stay at Sunsets in Palms Paradise so much that we have already booked for next year! The house and furniture were very comfortable and in style. We really loved the whole "outdoor living room" and spent a lot of time out there. The primary bedroom bed was great. It was obvious that this is a well loved and cared for house and that the owners spend time here as well! Eventhough we were right off US1, it was quiet and very private. Once you were in the house or the yard at the back of the house, you felt like you were in your own world. The plantings all across the yard were lush and tropical and there was comfortable seating in every strategic spot you might want to sit!We also spent a lot of time in the yard, reading, watching the bay and watching/listening to the dolphins and the dolphin activity next door! We used the kayaks to explore the bay and my husband swam out in the bay. We found lots of good restaurants nearby and plenty of things to do in the area. We watched the sunset every night at the yard's edge right on the bay - each one was spectacular! Definitely a slice of paradise there!

Beautiful Backyard

House is clean and comfortable. What makes the property special is the amazing backyard on the peaceful saltwater Tarpon Basin. We enjoyed kayaking and snorkeling from the property as well as watching the occasional dolphin shows next door. Not to mention just relaxing and enjoying the views of native wildlife and fish. Truly a special place.

Just like Paradise

Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with us as we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. We brought our 25 ft center console boat and it was an easy ride over from Caribbean Bay. Maybe a 22 ft boat would fit ideally in the basin, but we made it work just fine. The bed was very comfortable and accommodations were great. We biked all over. It was a great trip! Much respect to the Vrbo hosts for allowing it to happen. Hopefully Matt and I will retire on the water and be able to enjoy this FT one day. ✌️❤️😊

Private Paradise

The property is secluded and private, very quiet, and the backyard view is incredible during the sunset. It was well maintained, kayaks available for use in the bay. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone wanting to go to Key Largo.
