The towels were plush, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The room had broken blinds that allowed people to see in. The ceiling had cobwebs, the shower had mold. The plugins next to the bed wouldn’t hold a plug. The ceiling fan shook were we thought it was going to fall.

Located right on the marina canal. Definitely an older establishment with noticable wear, but our room, the lobby, walkways and grounds were clean and tidy. Staff was very nice and courteous.

Nope.

Dingy dark room, kitchen ceiling light didn’t work. Microwave didn’t work. I called to have someone check for the microwave and they sent security to verify it wasn’t working. Said it’d be fixed the next morning. We left for the day and it was still not working when we got back in the late afternoon. I called the front desk again and they sent someone up. I guess he just moved it out and saw it was unplugged. He plugged it back in and we had a microwave. Why was it unplugged in the first place?! The bed was super sunk in on the side closest to the bedside table. Had to sleep on the opposite side of the bed. No plug ins close to the bed aside from one usb plug in on the alarm clock. The tub faucet was leaky and drippy and we could hear it. Housekeeping doesn’t even try to be considerate. Rather than leaving the cart in the doorway so the door doesn’t have to keep slamming, all you hear are slamming doors. Might as well not even put the no wake magnet on. And then, I left for the store and my daughter smelled very strong weed odors. And if you’re coming in at check in time, you won’t find a parking spot. They do not have enough spaces for all the rooms they have. People have to park in no parking spots (like blocking a walkway or in the handicap loading spot, and in front of a hydrant). I have wintered in the keys for 15 years, but have never needed my daughter to stay anywhere else, but this year I did, and I am so embarrassed. I would never recommend this place.

I like property for location,view of harbor and price but there are always things that need work on. Our few visits the hot tube didn’t work and the is supposed to be heated yet it is to cold to use. Few if any quests used this visit. We can use the holiday next door so we used their pool during our visit and hot tub. Plus the pool service was great even getting popsicle around pool. Our last two visits to key largo we didn’t stay at Del Mar instead the holiday inn in Aug and Jan Our first night our bathroom flooded into the kitchen and closet where our suitcases were. Staff was good but manager said when taking a shower it does it sometimes in handicap rooms. We never used the shower but Miquel the manager keep repeating it. Then I said something needs fixing but this was awful. He said why do you come back? I said I like pool when heated and the view. He was rude. He took that night off our bill but when we changed to another room mid afternoon we extended one day hoping the price would be the same as the first night but staff said it was higher. Only app $40 but I think out courtesy it should of been the same. My daughters are wheelchairs and it was hard to go to the holiday to use the pool and hot tub. They ended not getting to use Del Mar pool or hot tub. It was not a good visit. It may be out last. Holiday treated guests better. My daughter left a treasured book in the first room. Desk wouldn’t let into room to get it. BUT CLEANING STAFF FOUND AND RETURNED DAY

This property was mediocre. The 2 bedroom was very sparsely furnished and in need of renovation. Continental breakfast was average. Expensive for the level of accommodation.

The apartment was perfect for our needs. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast filling and my children had a great time in the swimming pool. We will definitely be back on our next trip !
