Wonderful farmland hotel 10 minutes from Nordlinge

The owner and host of this delightful hotel went out of her way to help us with our laundry needs. Just wonderful people that run a superb small hotel on the edge of their own farm in a small village on the Romantic Road. A short drive to Nordlingen, one of the best walled cities on the Romantic trail. We 100% recommend you include this place on your tour of the Romanic Road. Oh ample free parking.

Country living but quiet and relaxing

The hotel is in a small town and there is nothing around however it was very quiet and relaxing. There are horses, donkeys, and alpacas. The rooms were older but clean. The owner was great and the morning buffet was awesome. If you ant quiet and relaxation this is the place. There are geese and they can be loud.

Great stop, if you know what to expect.

We found Oßwald a perfect stop along the Romantic way, and especially nice for the difference of being purely in the countryside instead of the multitude of old towns. But that means being with the countryside smells and the bells ringing their hearts out at 6am, the cows sounding like they were being murdered when they came in to milk etc. Charmingly different but not as peaceful as we had anticipated. The room is basic German. The typical 2 beds instead of a queen/king, separate single duvets, one pillow, coffee making but no milk, no fridge, a shower you bang your arms on, but everything clean and bright and acceptable. We had dinner in their restaurant, which was acceptable but not inspiring, tasted fine but not delicious, and breakfast was the same too. The reception staff were exceptionally good, helpful, kind and efficient.

Super great family run hotel in the country!

Loved this quiet, low key place in the country. Fields of farm animals across the laneway. Lovely small town to stroll through after eating dinner in the hotel restaurant with lovely country views! Check in was quick and easy, room was spacious and very clean. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Perfect. And the family run atmosphere was very kind and welcoming.

Terrific place in a small village!

Lovely family run hotel. What a score in the beautiful countryside. Comfortable beds, super clean room. Well equipped. Couldn't ask for better. Had a superb dinner in the restaurant in the evening, and breakfast that was included; was perfect. Went for a walk around the village, to our delight there was a very old monastery and convent just around the corner! Well worth a wander over to see.

Wir haben auf unserer Reise auf der romantischen Strasse dieses ruhige Familiengeführte, Gast- und Hundefreundliche Landhotel gefunden und schätzen gelernt. Schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf Garten und Felder, Umgebung ideal für den Hundespaziergang. Das Bad mit einer Dusche und WC ist sehr klein, aber zweckmässig. Es ist in allem ein sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Wir genossen ein schönes Abendessen mit Sonnenuntergang auf der Terrasse. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat alles was es braucht. Gratisparkplatz und gute Lage, um die Sehenswürdigkeiten der romantischen Strasse zu besichtigen. Wir verlängerten spontan um eine weitere Nacht, was alles sagt.

Sehr ruhig in schöner Ortsrandlage. Pferde, Esel und Alpacas grasen vorm Haus. Sehr bequemes Bett, saubere Zimmer. Alles gut, da kann man hinfahren.
