Efri-Vik overnight

We initially reserved a bungalow however on arrival we were upgraded to a hotel room. Breakfast buffet was quite good with many options.

We got upgraded to a nice room at Hotel Laki as the bungalows were closed after summer. The hotel was very swanky, the food options were delicious, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Cozy cabin located just several hundred meters from Hotel Laki. Great breakfast (included). Room was very clean. Hotel staff was great. We appreciated the laundry service offered by the hotel (~$25 USD). We had already been traveling for 8 days, and it felt great to have clean laundry!

Efri-Vik Bungalow nicely accommodated the two of us since it could sleep up to 5 or 6. It was comfortable with the only exception being the shower. Like many European showers, it was not fully contained such that a good portion of the water ended up on the bathroom floor (despite a "half shield" that provided some protection). But, since we were only staying one night, it was more amusing than annoying. The fact that the drain was not working well compounded the problem. Other than that, it was a great place with a first class breakfast at the main hotel nearby.

Stayed in the small cottages which each slept 2 people. They were simple and quiet and clean. Desk staff was great, helpful with laundry completed over night for $30 for a load and we picked it up next morning. Breakfast was included and was good, had decent number of options. Didn’t try dinner at the restaurant. The horses were very nice to visit and get some photos. They like to eat dandelion leaves.

This was a disappointing stay. The bungalows are behind/below the Hotel Loki. There is no signage and it really feels like these cabins need some love. The family built these before they built the fancier hotel above. Our keychain said "Hotel Loki Hut" which may be more accurate from a branding standpoint. It certainly feels like you are in the low-rent district. The cabins are small and old without many outlets. The bathroom was odd with a small glass partition for the shower, and yes, the floor got very wet. It either needs an update or some really good scrubbing. Even the TP is an odd stretch from the toilet. The best upside is that breakfast at the hotel is included and it is a good buffet.

Our cabin was cozy and a quick walk to the hotel for breakfast. Breakfast had a great selection. Dinner options at the hotel were very limited but the beef sandwich and salad were delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

What a great little place! The bungalows were super cute and comfortable, the staff was fantastic. We had to leave before breakfast so they packed us a lunch! Great service and very friendly.
