Nice place, but

Excellent hotel and location, but desperately needs air conditioning installation in the bedroom. Temperature was only mid twenties but too hot at night even with a fan in the room.

Hotel has been partially updated and these areas , mainly the bedrooms are very good. We had a fantastic view. There is no air con though fans are provided . We didn't need these in Sept but l night was very warm. Staff friendly and helpful Communal areas clean but ready for updating

We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel was clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. We were welcomed by friendly reception staff and if we had any issues (the safe battery ran out!) it was dealt with quickly and without fuss. We didn’t take the breakfast option so can’t comment there but the coffee smelled amazing each morning! The hotel is a little outside of the centre but that is reached easily with a 5 minute walk along the coastal path. There is a plethora or restaurants within east reach. We look forward to staying again!

A fantastic location right on the sea. Parking is chargeable but street parking is easy to find. About a 20 min walk to restaurants etc. Although I had opted to pay at the property, the full amount was taken from my card around 10 days prior to arrival. Unfortunately I saw a rat scurry across the decking whilst relaxing in a sun lounger and reported it to the staff

Great hotel.

We visited La Rochelle to watch the women’s rugby, the hotel was walkable distance to the stadium. The room was quite small but really well appointed, very modern with lovely finishes, furniture, linen etc and the rest of the hotel was the same. It was right on the water, so ver scenic and easy to park too. It’s around a 20 min to the centre for restaurants mind you. I would certainly recommend staying here. Very nice staff too.

Hotel right on the sea front with lovely sea and harbour views. 1.6klms (1 mile) walk from the city center. Nice walk but a long way if you are not a good walker and I wouldn't want to walk through the park alone at night. The front terrace was nice with sun lounger and table and chairs. Large comfy bed with tv, kettle, hairdryer. No air con, but a fan in the room. Didn't have breakfast but was charged for it on arrival so had to ask them to take it off our bill at the end. The breakfast looked good with croissants, cake, bread meats cheese cereal. We only had a coffee, but it wasn't very nice. No bar so you have to order drinks etc from reception. There is a little cafe close by

The staff were so helpful and extremely friendly. They also booked a restaurant reservation for us and couldn’t have been nicer. We booked a room with sea view and balcony,room was spacious and nicely decorated and the bed was so comfortable (queen size). A couple of small issues,toilet is quite small and we had a problem with it flushing during our last night if we were staying longer I am sure it would have been fixed promptly as the staff were extremely helpful as I mentioned. Would highly recommend this hotel. Location and staff were great…..

The terrace is a big plus for the hotel and the lovely view. I also liked the fact that it was out of town and encompassed a very pleasant walk through the tree-lined pathway. The breakfast and aperitifs were all very nice, but I must say, the staff were all brilliant. Really friendly, easygoing, helpful. I would easily recommend it and go again!

2 day stay in La Rochelle

The hotel is amazing right on the coast overlooking St Rochelle harbour. Couple of things let it down but won't change our rating as the place is in such a great location. There was parking on sire and i think the charge was quite high in the room there was no water which seems to be standard in any others we have stayed in at that price. Towels were small, we didn't ask but I am sure their customer service would have provided more if required, and you have to squeeze by the toilet to close the door, no issue for a couple leave it open but if you aren't it was a bit tight. AS per overall score would definitely try and book this hotel again if staying in the area.
