The Carriage House Downtown Lafayette, LA

In the heart of downtown Lafayette, the Carriage House is a home away from home. This quaint little space gives you access to all that downtown Lafayette has to offer while still allowing you to relax peacefully in a warm, cheery atmosphere. Walk to some of the best locally owned restaurants in Lafayette. Our fabulous new neighbor is the Rock 'n' Bowl of Lafayette. A couple of blocks from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Perfect location on the Mardi Gras parade route & Festivals.

This small one bedroom apartment is perfect for work travelers, or a couple looking to spend a weekend, overnight, or a few weeks in Downtown Lafayette. We don’t suggest more than 2 adults. There is only one bed and a small couch. However, we do allow couples with children. You can’t beat this location for downtown activities, festivals, and Mardi Gras!

Parking is onsite, at the bottom on the stairs to the apartment. Covered parking is also available upon request.

I am typically very available for any needs or special requests during your stay. Just a text or phone call away.

House Rules... 1. Make yourself at home during your stay with us!

Due to previous experience, we must ask that some basic rules be followed.

2. Absolutely, No Parties! There are permanent residents on this property and nearby neighbors who will contact the police if guests are being very loud after hours. By all means, enjoy yourself. But, please be respectful.

3. Do Not Block the Driveway.

4. Please be careful with public intoxication. We are downtown, have fun! Drink, eat, and be merry. But, Do NOT bring the party to our property! The police will be called. End of story...

5. We try to keep our cleaning fees low. Please be respectful, leave our place in good shape.

We proudly welcome you to the historic Gauthier Property Carriage House and hope that you enjoy your stay at your home away from home. We strive to provide a higher level of accommodation, but have the following rules which must be adhered to unless specifically waived after consultation with us.

1. Check in time: 3 pm

2. Check out time: 11 am. Late checkout may be available with prior approval. Unapproved late checkout may result in an additional nights rent.

3. Self Check in with smart lock.

4. The personal information of all adult guests shall be submitted within 72 hours of booking including name, home address, and phone number. Only registered adult guests and their accompanying children will be allowed to stay overnight on the premises.

5. The individual booking this reservation agrees to inform all guests about these rules and to obtain their agreement to comply with same prior to check in.

6. A security deposit of $500 shall be collected through Airbnb within 72 hours of booking. The security deposit shall be refundable after checkout provided there is no damage or extraordinary cleaning necessary.

7. Parking on the premises is limited to one vehicle, provided the driveway is never blocked. Do not block driveway. Others have use of the driveway/parking. Additional nearby parking can be arranged in advance.

8. Absolutely NO SMOKING inside the Carriage House.

9. No illegal activities of any sort are allowed on the premises.

10. No parties or events.

11. Pets under 20 pounds are allowed with an advance $50 deposit refundable after checkout assuming no damage or pet specific cleaning is required. No pet may be left unattended except in a suitable crate.

12. If the kitchen is utilized, all dishes, pots and utensils shall be rinsed and placed in the dishwasher.

13. The Carriage House, it’s owner and representatives shall have no liability for personal injuries occurring on the premises and guests agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Carriage House, it’s owner and representatives with respect to any such personal injuries.

14. The stairs to the second floor in the historic Carriage House are steep and narrow. No children are allowed to access the stairs without being accompanied by an adult.

15. Guests shall abide by the City of Lafayette noise ordinance and observe quiet hours from 10:00 pm till 7:00 am weekdays and 11:00 pm till 9:00 am weekends.

16. No subletting is permitted.

17. The violation of these rules or any incident or disturbance involving the police being called to the premises may result it the termination of your stay and removal from the premises without refund.

19. Please report anything that you find on the premises that is broken, damaged or malfunctioning.
