Our room was in the older wing of the hotel with appropriate modernization and updates. If you like trains, you might love this room; our entry door and window faced the train tracks which were (maybe) 90 feet away. There was no mention of this special feature of this room in advance. We found out when we first arrived at the room. Upon returning to the reception desk to request a different room we were informed nothing else was available. Breakfast was advertised as a full breakfast buffet but that is a stretch. It did the job, though, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Mountaineer lodge was perfect for what we wanted. They had a pretty decent breakfast buffet included in the mornings which was nice pre-hiking. The views from the hotel were very nice. Less to do in the town of Lake Louise but the hotel was awesome!

Overall a pretty average stay. Great breakfast included which was nice. Room was clean. Very noisy early in the morning with trucks and buses. Truck unloading something extremely early in the morning (6am) right outside of our room every morning we stayed… that was very annoying.

Everything about our stay was fantastic. Free hearty breakfast every morning, hot tub and steam room, right across the road from a gas station and several restaurants and shopping, extremely close to Lake Louise, view of mountains within 20 steps outside our door. Easy check in and check out. The only thing missing from the room is air conditioning but I doubt there are many days in Lake Louise that get above 70 degrees. It just worked out for us that a couple days did get into the 70s so it was a little warm in the room. If you are hot natured, you might wanna ask for a room with AC. But otherwise perfect.

We loved our short stay at this amazing place. We had room 103 in main lodge which was very nice. High quality bedding and comfortable bed. Very modern and spacious room. Front desk attendant was very nice and we felt very welcome! Breakfast options could be better but had all basic breakfast items. Would love to stay there again if we are in the area!

Great place to stay when visiting Lake Louise

This property impressed us as being very well updated and modern, even though it’s in a tiny town near the Lake Louise area. The room had everything we needed and it all worked well. We wanted to go to Lake Louise but not drive ourselves and they gave us great directions on how to do that. There was a problem with the heating system in the first room we were assigned, but they quickly and efficiently moved us to an equivalent room that worked out great. The included breakfast was also better than those usually are. We would stay there again.

Loved everything about our stay. Minutes to Lake Louise and Lake Morraine. Our room was lovely with comfortable bed and chairs/sofas. Lots of space to hang clothes and towels. Great sized fridge and freezer. Breakfast was also yummy with many items to choose from. We’d definitely recommend to others. Would stay again!
