Cabin #10 is our largest and most private cabin on the main property and our lake house, located just minutes away on Lake Colby, offer year-round accommodation. This 2 bedroom / 2 bath four season year-round cabin offers plenty of space for the small family or group. Each bedroom features one queen size bed and its own private bath. This Cabin features a washer & dryer! The main living area includes a kitchenette, couch and eating area. There is a traditional style sleeper sofa for one additional guest. The cabin is air-conditioned, fully furnished and includes a full kitchen, free wifi and cable TV. Accommodates 2 adults and up to 3 children, or 4-5 adults. Please book this cabin type for a minimum of 3 nights. Our spacious grounds offer each cabin BBQ grills, Adirondack chairs and a bonfire pit. Additionally on the grounds are horshoe pits and picnic tables. For our guests who are avid hikers, we are just steps away from world class hiking and trekking trails. Moreno's Cabins are located at the trailhead of Scarface Mountain, one of the Saranac Lake 6 and the Adirondack’s 46 highest peaks! Moreno’s Cabins are the perfect home-base for your Adirondack visit, just minutes from pristine lakes, public beaches, two lively Villages with restaurants, shopping and amenities. Walk to the Ray Brook Brewery or the Tail O' The Pup outdoor barbeque and bar. Close to 3 golf courses, Nordic & Alpine skiing at Mt Van Hoevenberg, Dewey Mountain, Cascade Mountain Trails, Whiteface Mountain and Titus Mountain, the Olympic Ski Jumping Complex, the 1932 & 1980 Olympic Ice Skating arenas and speed skating oval, and the brand new Lake Placid Bobsled Experience ride. We are centrally located to enjoy area events and festivals. The region hosts a multitude of exciting events each year, including the Iron-Man Triathalon, Can Am Rugby, Lacrosse Tournament, the Lake Placid Horse Show, Hockey Tournaments, Winter Carnival and many other events. A spur trail leading to Scarface Mountain and the new Adirondack Rail Trail multi-use corridor are located literally outside its door. **We offer 9 different cabins on the property. History of the Property:
Moreno's cottages was founded by Tessie and Tony Moreno in1923. Uncle Tony built this property by hand over the years and Aunt Tessie ran the business with discipline and hard work. The Drake family, with 2 parents and 4 teenage children, is the newest owner of this historic vacation destination. Todd & Leigh work constantly to make changes or additions to the property to make our guests' stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
