With the lagoon, dock & beach in your backyard there are unlimited outdoor activities to experience without leaving your retreat. Where else can you relax all day on your own private beach or take a leisurely kayak ride around your island, and then grab some fresh live oysters, clams or mussels for dinner, from your own private lagoon and seafood farm? This is truly a seafood lover’s dream. We have spent so much time and effort making Sunset Lagoon a unique place to live our lives, we decided to make it available for others to enjoy as well. Now you too can enjoy what others only dream of in your own separate 1200 sq. ft. of secured downstairs living area, at the Sunset Lagoon Retreat and guest only Sea Food Farm, with your own private entry and covered deck. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families. Come experience what you have always dreamed about all year round at your own private island getaway. We had the best time at Sunset Lagoon! Carole and Dale were such great hosts and ensured our stay was enjoyable. There happened to be an issue with the ferry the day we were going and they called right away. The problem ended up getting fixed and we made it to the island! Definitely a much needed respite. My family and I plan to go back this summer. My kids absolutely loved clamming on the private beach!

my partner and i stayed here for a belated anniversary getaway and it was truly perfect. the interior is spacious yet cozy, the exterior is everything you could ask for when staying on the water. dale and carol are perfect hosts, there if you need them but also so good at giving you all the privacy you could want. this home is a gem! you will not regret staying here! we couldn't have asked for a better weekend away from home!

Our second time staying here was just as wonderful as the first. This time, we took our dog with us and it was so dog friendly with the gated porch for him to enjoy! Dale brought out a motor to attach to the row boat so we could go fishing which was great. We even saw some dolphins while we were out! We also went out kayaking later in the day. If you stay, you HAVE to try Carol’s clam chowder recipe in the binder. So delicious!

An amazing 3 days

We wanted a quiet getaway and chose Sunset Lagoon because of the great reviews and the promise of seafood. If you like shellfish, this is the place for you! If you like a serene view and (usually) a great sunset, this place delivers. If you love kayaking or paddle boarding, you have a beautiful place to do it. The owners are kind and helpful. You do need to think through what you need in advance since there’s no store on this island. But that’s just a little planning in advance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The setting was beautiful, our hosts, Dale and Carol, were very welcoming and helpful, and the house contained everything we could possibly need.
