Great Stay.

We had a two night stay in a suite. The room was very clean and spacious with good facilities. We had breakfast and evening meal on both days and were very pleased with the food and service we received. The staff were so friendly and could not do enough for you, whether it was reception, restaurant, bar staff or housekeeping. We would recommend this hotel.

A1 break away

Really enjoyed our break away to New Lanark Mill relaxing and chilled a couple of days. Only thing change is when pool is being used for swimming lessons to close pool rather than divide pool. Would have avoided this time if we were aware. Food excellent and staff attitude good. Great walks and view of river and sound of river very relaxing. Thanks for great time will be back

OK stay but could do better

Hotel room OK, but it felt cold. Hotel dinner was lovely but we were disappointed with breakfast, only offered lorne sausage and the toast machine needs to be updated as to get the bread toasted took 3 rounds. We visited the spa but were disappointed as half the swimming pool was marked off for swimming lessons leaving it very tight to swim in the other side even for 2 people to pass. There were no parking spaces when we arrived so had to park at the top of the hill.

Great property, lovely building! Check in was smooth and reception staff were so welcoming. Breakfast let down the experience with having too wait a while for a coffee and dirty cups but was provided a clean mug when asked.

Christmas stay at the Mill

The trip was due to a family bereavement, so unhappy circumstances to start with. However, the New Mill was warm and welcoming, and the room was comfortable (woken by the alarm, which indicated i slept well). View out the window was well worth the stay, listening to water is very soothing although i didn't realise beforehand!. Only a slight complaint, the TVs weren't working on arrival which was an issue as my 87 year old father suffers from insomnia so it was disappointing that reception didnt mention this on arrival. Fortunately though, the TV was repaired in the evening, so all was not lost. Resturant was lovely and food very tasty despite being given the wrong bill, over 100 pounds instead of 65 pounds but this was soon corrected. Please do not be put off by anything i have written as i would return in a heartbeat and perhaps next and under different circumstances, we would have more time to appreciate the stunning view and wonderful surroundings.

Great Night Away

We arrived on the first significant snow fall of the winter, the staff called us in the morning advising of the weather conditions and suggested we give ourselfs a little more time. Vicki met us on arrival, she was very welcoming and we got a great impression right from the start. I was booked in for a body massage withVicki, she was amazing, one of the best massages i have ever had. We liked our room and enjoyed the food, we had done the New Lanark experience already so didnt do that this time, would throughly recommend this also! We did do the walk up by the waterfalls the next day which was asight to behold. I would recommend this hotel
