Welcome to Dinner and a Movie! We didn't think Lansing had enough hip, unique short term rental options, so we've set out to create some!

We have a very strict no smoking policy inside the home. If you need to smoke, please do so outside. We advertise a no smoking space to guest and want to be able to honor our word. A $200 fee will be charged to any guest that found to be smoking on site.

We had a great stay at this property. The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. There was plenty of space to relax, and the theater/lounge area was a fun feature that everyone enjoyed. The location was convenient, and the check-in and check-out process was simple and hassle-free. The host was responsive and made everything easy. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the Lansing area.

We arrived at approximately 2:30 AM after notifying the host we would be checking in late. I had to request the check-in instructions because they had not yet been sent. When we arrived, the front door was unlocked, & a bag of trash was blocking it from opening fully.Inside, it was obvious the property had not been cleaned after the previous guests. Both beds had been slept in, one still had dirty towels on it, the toilet had not been flushed & had urine on the seat, the couch cushions were out of place, & there was an unidentified substance smeared on one of the walls.After a full day of travel with our family & equipment for our son's shooting competition, discovering an unprepared rental in the middle of the night was incredibly frustrating. There were no other VRBO properties available, so we had to scramble to find a hotel. Because it was so late, we had to book two hotel rooms for two nights rather than the home we had reserved. By the time we unloaded everything & got settled, it was nearly 4:30 AM.The next morning, the host asked for photos so he could "investigate" & later said the property had been cleaned. We had already found other accommodations & had no confidence in returning to a property that should have been ready before our arrival. The host initially offered to cover our hotel costs, but after we requested a refund instead, communication stopped. We are still waiting for reimbursement.This situation caused unnecessary stress, expense, & inconvenience.
