Good choice in Lausanne!

We enjoyed our stay at this well-located and clean hotel. The service was also very nice with super helpful and accommodating staff who helped make our first visit to Switzerland much easier! The breakfast was also very good - the only issue was that we came near opening on the first day and found no fresh fruits available - but Day 2 had everything we could want:) The only issue to check is the climate control in your room because the outdoor window does not open, and on our stay the weather turned warm and the room AC did not work properly so it was a stuffy night.

Meh

The hotel had good staff who were happy to help when asked, and the bedroom was clean and tidy. However, the air con didn’t work, leaving the room overly hot during the night. The shower smelt like sewage at times and the decor itself was very dated, including the carpet which seemed to be coloured to avoid showing stains. Location is good for all the shops and restaurants, about a 15 min walk to the main station as well.

Good base to explore from

This Ibis up on Beaulieu is easy walking distance to most downtown sites but well off the waterfront. Staff are friendly and helpful, building is well maintained, breakfast buffet is well stocked, transit is on Beaulieu and the neighbourhood is quiet.
