It was all okay, not outstanding. The views of the mountains and valleys are amazing. The one issue is that getting from the village to the hotel requires a ride, and they are stingy with it.

What a quaint stay with gracious hospitality! Staff warmly tended to everything from a lift to and from the train to the lovely meals. They made our Wengen leg of the trip wonderful

We stayed at the Alpenrose for a week and had a wonderful time there. The staff were fantastic and very friendly and helpful. The views from our bedroom were amazing and as described. We stayed half board, the food was fresh and very delicious. We look forward to visiting you again.

Great stay and dining experience

We had a very convenient stay at Hotel Alpenrose Wengen. We took the dinner offer which was really nice specially given the price (20 EUR per person). I particularly enjoyed the cheese buffet at the dinner. The breakfast was also very reasonable. The room was comfortable and clean.

This was a great stay!! Conveniently located 5 min walk from the train station, the rooms were cozy and the lounge area with the coffee machine was the perfect place to spe d a rainy day. Staff was super welcoming and easy to arrange transfers from hotel to train station. Dinners at the hotel are a must! Great 4 course meals for a great price. We will be back!

Great family run hotel in beautiful Wengen. The breakfast and the four course menu were delicious . My husband and I have food restrictions and they were very accommodating and made every effort to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. Our room was very clean, comfortable and had amazing views of the alps. The staff and the owners were very friendly and always helpful. Will definitely be coming back when we are in the area again.

Hotel was great especially if you have mountain view on a top floor. Crisp white linen Hotel didn’t come with shampoo/conditioner (which I thought is typical for all hotels) and couldn’t wash hair unless I bought from store which was expensive Have coffee machine in lobby but no to-go cups They only do “breakfast to go” the day you are checking out Which was frustrating because one morning we had an early activity needing to leave hotel by 6am (restaurant opens at 7 and they have capability to do to do to go box ) but they wouldn’t give us breakfast to go

Reception and the bar were found un-staffed on many occasions which caused problems. Room 102 has the mountain view partially blocked by a tree. Other than that, very good hotel.

Our Hotel Alpenrose Wengen stay was the highlight of our trip to Switzerland! We were fortunate to be upgraded to a lovely apartment in a separate building making our stay even more comfortable. The hotel is spacious and beautifully furnished. All our meals there were 5 star as well and we couldn't have been happier with our choice to stay here.

Fantastic hotel, great staff, picturesque location. My wife and I were originally staying for three nights but extended an extra night because of the wonderful experience at the hotel and the beauty of Wengen. Food is delicious and convenient, and we appreciated the option to dine in the hotel for dinner, especially since the meal was very reasonably priced. Highly recommend staying here, and we will definitely be making a return trip!

A very good hotel in Wengen, great location and easy access/ connectivity to main attractions like jungfraujoch, and many other picturesque villages. It is 5 mins walk from train station. However, they provide the shuttle service. They will send someone to pickup/drop. Breakfast, a great selection of options. There are very good trails nearby....Staff is very nice.

Small cozy hotel, decent size rooms, clean, excellent service. Getting to the train station is uphill, but there is a shuttle available. The three-course dinner for 20 SF is the biggest bargain in Switzerland. Above all, the views of the valley and Lauterbrunnen are incredible. I wish I could post a couple of pictures.

Wengen is an underrated but spectacular town. Everywhere you look you got a view of the Lauterbrunnen valley and waterfalls. Quiet and cosy town. This hotel is in a perfect setting overlooking an amazing view. Hotel staff have also been superb and offered great service with a smile whenever I had any requests. 10/10 hotel experience.
