Great for our stay

Great place for a stopover - had a great drinks at the bar with a personable bartender. Accommodations were comfortable and clean. Only complaint was that we could not get the TV to turn off at night - kept turning itself back on but we dealt. Would definitely recommend this property.

This is not your standard chain hotel. Although the overall architecture is 1970s motel style, the color choices, furnishings, and materials used in upgrading have produced a very sophisticated, upscale ambience. Life House Berkshire is promoted as a writer’s retreat. The lobby/bar appears to be from a tropical boutique hotel. Everything extra (meals, snacks) costs extra - no free breakfast here. The tap water has an iron taste - yuck (and I generally DO drink tap water). I appreciated the one free bottle of water but was glad I’d brought some of my own. Very clean and well maintained. And the price (for my February stay) was right too.

Everyone working at this hotel goes above & beyond. So lovely, smiles on their faces, happy to accommodate, and more importantly- the hotel looks exactly like the pictures online. Newly renovated, modern, extremely clean. Cant say enough about this place! Sidebar- Josh is the man!!

Great option in the Berkshires!!

There are many small, single room,camp-like former motels in the Berkshires. Many tend towards shabbiness and neglect— not this one! I found my room warm and inviting with lots of little decorative touches that were imaginative and made me smile. The inclusion of a reading chair and writing desk is a huge plus for me. The bed was super comfortable, great pillows, nice linens. HVAC worked beautifully— I could reduce the temperature, a huge thing on a cold night when most folks would want to be toasty— me, not so much. The shower and bathroom were gorgeous with neat tiles and great water pressure. You don’t get the felling of being in a gross cookie cutter corporate gulag, rather pleasantly nestled in a unique and whimsical den.

Looks nice but is eh

Life House Berkshires looks great, but no one actually works there. Or at least that's how it seemed during our stay. I never got the welcome text they said I would get to be able to communicate with staff. I called the 800 number once to try to get someone and couldn't get a person. I finally did get a person the next time I tried that number and that was to tell them that when we came back for the day after housekeeping had been there, our sink was clogged with muddy water. Not sure if it was used as a slop sink for a mop or what. But that was pretty gross. No one came to clean it or fix it even after I told them about it.

The room was really nice and clean, equipped with all the necessary things. Walking into the room which was light up and with jazz music was a nice touch. The one thing I was somewhat disappointed was the TV. I was trying to watch just regular TV live and it keep on freezing. Same thing with the music when I played it in Spotify. I would stay there again on my next visit to Lenox.
