Nice hotel

Stayed here many times. Older hotel, rooms are good size, clean and comfortable. Elevators are a bit creaky. Convenient location on Mayor Magrath Dr. Attached to small strip mall. Has pool and lounge. Dennys restaurant is attached to hotel which is convenient.

Unfortunately when I booked I was told by friends it had been renovated, I booked on Expedia the newer sister property wasn’t shown as an option so I booked this thinking it was what I was looking for. IT WASNT The staff was great, the property is run down, in need of some definite esthetic improvement. Paint/plaster peeling off the walls, elevator doors scratched by guests with sharp objects The beds should be replaced. The shower wasn’t cleaned A rain shower head mounted on the wall not the ceiling so no water pressure. The hot water took about 5 min (no joke) to start flowing… what a waste of water as I didnt sign up for a cold plunge so I waited

Dilapidated property

Every day our key cards had to be reprogrammed and we got chided for daring to put them in our purse or wallet. The bathroom was very dated; the wallpaper was peeling; the toilet rocked like a teeter totter. It took several minutes of running the hot water tap to get water that was just warm. The fridge temperature control knob was broken off; fridge was too warm to conserve food or chill drinks. Internet connection showed full strength but there was no signal associated with it. There was new carpet in the room and hallways but in the hallways it was never vacuumed while we were there. Very noisy on Friday night, complaint to front desk did not resolve the issue. Room door rattled in its frame even when fully locked. Paint splatter everywhere. Just not a nice room.

The property and staff at the hotel were great. Prior to check in within the allotted time period the flight was changed to arrive a day later. I spent some time making sure the room was changed to arrive a day later with the Expedia and the hotel themselves. I was told I would be refunded the one night - I am still waiting for this refund as per the promise. At this time I won’t use Expedia again if this is not taken care of

Great value

I'm not a pro traveller and enjoyed every aspect of the hotel, minus the hotel bar, sat around 20 minutes before a server showed up but I wasn't there for a bar so I don't count that as a negative on trip
