We LOVED this resort! It’s a close drive to the airport, has stunning views, and the staff is super nice and helpful! The room was great, clean, and housekeeping was so nice. The resort is just enough out of the way that you’re not right in the middle of town, but you’re close enough to everything in just a short drive. The restaurant on property was great & the pool and bar were also great. There was construction happening while there but we never heard anything and they weren’t in the way. The rooms are sound proof so we never heard our neighbors. A perfect spot for a family or a couple. We will be back! :)

The property is undergoing renovation to public areas. Noisy!! The only way to access the pool is by walking through the restaurant. Doors from the pool area are locked and there is no signage indicating the current route in either direction. The only bar is at the pool which closes at dusk. Even the towel exchange didn’t operate on hours posted, again no signage on where to get towels. Positives - renovated rooms are very nice and food, music & service in the restaurant was great.

Don’t waste your money, this place is a total tourist trap. The beaches are filled with trash, too many kids, too much security so you can’t feel free to walk anywhere past 10pm or before 8am. Only one restaurant with subpar food. They lock you out of every entrance to every building so you have to walk soooooo far to get anywhere. I got covered in blisters from trying to find a way to get into my building. The manager wouldn’t let us check in early when we arrived at 1, fine we get it. But then the rest of our wedding party got there after we left to wait and they were all immediately shown to their rooms. The other manager said they would do something for us to make it better but they never reached out. So we called and he was gone for our last two days. So we got nothing for our troubles. Sooooooo overpriced!!!! And extra $40 for parking per day. For what we spent for 5 nights there would have gotten us a 5 star resort for twice as long in the Caribbean. Just go to the Caribbean. Thank us later.

The front staff was friendly. We stayed at a newly renovated room, which was quite nice and clean. The only negative comment would be the limited access route to the pool from where we stayed. We had to go through the restaurant to get to the pool, which was quite awkward. The pool bar closes at 6pm. It would be nice if it were open until little later.

Everything was under renovation, we experienced some issues with check in that was the fault of the resort and they took no initiative to make it right. Staff was friendly, room was clean, grounds are very pretty. I wish I hadn’t spent so much to stay at a “resort” that was under total construction during our entire stay, maybe we came at a bad time of year.

Lovely property with updated rooms. Grounds are currently undergoing construction. Pools are exception and the staff incredible. Shout outs to Kit, Bell Services; Ramon, Naupaka Terrace Restaurant; Amanda, Driftwood Bar & Grill; and Kelton, Room Operations. Thank you for another exceptional stay!

Pools only reason we stayed. Lots of mold on bed sheets, drywall etc, extremely outdated.Mini fridge leaked. Poor access to outlets to charge phone.Thermostat control was damaged. Staff at concierge and manager were awful. They aren’t there to make your stay comfortable but instead meet their quota while under renovation. Location is awesome.

We had a beautiful time at this resort! The pools are absolutely amazing. We loved the easy access to the beach. The view from our room was breathtaking and peaceful. I really appreciated how the staff would come in every day and give us new towels and clean up the sand in the bathroom and on the floors. No matter how careful we were there was still sand everywhere and this service really helped us manage it. The bell staff/ valet staff at the front were SO WELCOMING. We werent even valeting and they greeted us everytime and got to know us. The only complaint I have is that the beds were so small. They were full beds. Queen beds would have been much more comfortable for a family of 4. The beds also easily rolled and was hard to keep them in place. Overall this was a great experience and we would stay here again without thinking twice!

We were really looking forward to our trip to Kauai, but unfortunately, our experience at the Outrigger was very disappointing. The condition of the room was unacceptable we found mold on the bedsheets, which is not only gross but a serious health concern. It made us question the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the property. The on-site restaurant was another letdown. The food was bland and overpriced, and the service didn’t make up for it either. We ended up eating elsewhere for the rest of our stay. For the price and the reputation of the Outrigger brand, we expected much better. We won't be staying here again and can't recommend it to others.
