We had a great stay at Ocean Terrace. The staff was very communicative prior to our late arrival. Our place was clean and welcoming. Beds were incredibly comfortable. There’s no AC so it was a little toasty and we couldn’t figure out the ceiling fan but it wasn’t too bad and we enjoyed having the listening to the ocean through the window. Our only complaint was the rec area and pool close quite early.

Suite 37 was super cute and felt like home!! The room was clean and the kitchen is very convenient. The mattress was kind of hard but I still got a good nights rest. Beach access has lots of stairs and you have to walk through some grass but for the price of our room it was totally worth it.

The Excellent: Parking was ample, the office staff was excellent, place was clean, pool was large and indoor and warm. View from our room was AMAZING! PRIVATE beach that wasn't crowded and only accessible to those staying at the condos. The Good: The front room area and bedroom areas where larger than expected and well designed. Kitchen was stocked with almost anything you might need to make a meal. Full sized appliances were great (except dishwasher). The not so good: neighbors above us were extremely loud. Literally heard loud thuds and running noises NONSTOP for hours. Pull out couch mattress was not very comfortable, but we made due. Walk down to the beach was a short but difficult walk down lots of steep stairs and once at the bottom a sandy path that ended with a short but steep sand inclined few "steps". BE ADVISED, the path down to the ocean is NOT for anyone that is not completely stable on their feet. Anyone with even slight mobility issues will not make it down to the ocean safely. Overall: This place was amazing and would highly recommend. I would definitely stay here again.

The booking was quite deceiving......when I reserved the room, the pictures showed that the room had an ocean view and when we arrived we had a room with no ocean view. Very disappointed

Unfortunate Stay

The condo was tiny, but well decorated. The "pull-out" bed turned out to be a murphy bed in a closet. Bathroom was TINY-sideways into and out of. Barely room to move at all, and no adequate shelving or electrical. Wash basin is about 12 or 14 " square---VERY small. ALL floors are at a slant, which would probably not be up to code. Adult daughter fell in living room because of floors. Electrical will not support even a small microwave, so none in room (as per desk), so is probably not up to code. If you have any problems with mobility, as we both had, it was unsafe, but we had no other accommodation as we live out of state and booked in advance trusting the descriptions. Had to go from bathroom to kitchen to use contact lens cleaning machine, etc., due to lack of shelving and NO counter. Carpet was spotted prior to stay. Bathroom floor was cracked at entrance prior to stay. Would not book there again, and would not recommend to anyone.

Nice view and area. Was located within walking distance of the Taft district. Friendly staff. There are buckets of window cleaner and window scrubbing/squeege’s available in parking lot for cleaning car windows. Only complaint is the pool/sauna/rec room hours (close somewhat early evening) make it difficult to utilize if only staying 1 night. Check in is 4:00 pm and check out is 11:00 am.

We had a family stay in the room above us and you could hear EVERYTHING. The Kids above were up at 6am jumping on the bed and we could not sleep in. Not sure if the property is meant to be “slanted” but you feel like your waking sideways in the room. Room was very clean though

The property is older but seems well maintained. The extra bed im our unit was questionable. We did not end up using it and my daughter and her friend slept on the living room floor. There is not much to do at the coast after 7pm. We were disappointed to find out that the rec room and the pool also closed at 7pm. Felt like after 7 when the rest of town closes down that having the rec room open would be a given. But with the poor weather we were stuck in our room. We will not be staying at this property again.

It was small

The room was very small, I have 3 younger kids and myself and if I had know it was so small I would have booked something different. One child had to sleep in the floor as there wasn’t enough beds. Definitely wasn’t comfortable
