The hotel is convenient for the cathedral and castle and we didn’t need to use the car at all. Good breakfast, friendly staff, room was nice, free parking and we’d definitely recommend it to friends. Can’t find any negatives at all.

2nd time we’ve stayed here, such a lovely period place, has everything you need, great location, superb staff / service, excellent quality food and drink, Oh, and the included full English breakfast was glorious after sampling a few too many drinks the night before. Lovely big room and ensuite. Quirky, style with recycled furniture, all used to great effect to create a luxurious yet very comfortable feel to the room. Great location - easy walking distance to all main attractions and shopping. Lovely food, excellent breakfast and good choice of quality evening meals. Fabulously helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble. Onsite car parking a definite plus point too. We visit Lincoln annually and will definitely stay at the Duke William again.

The property has an upscale pub with good food. The room was very clean and well appointed. The room in which we stayed was over the bar, so it was a bit noisy, but we slept well. Nice place.

Nice but noisy…

My husband and I stayed here for a night away. The room was beautiful - it was very clean, decorated lovely and was spacious. The room was directly above the beer garden which was incredibly noisy until just gone 11pm when the bar shut. Word for word you could hear what was said outside and obviously people were there enjoying themselves - loud and rowdy as to be expected in a popular pub. But, if you want an early night or are a light sleeper, I wouldn’t recommend. Unfortunately for us too, in the morning the person in the next room was up at 7am and the walls are very thin so it sounded as if they were showering in our room. The pub / restaurant was very busy when we went, so quieter times might be better. Overall I enjoyed it - the breakfast the next morning was delicious too - but I wouldn’t stay again.

The Duke William hotel

Room clean and tidy, quite a lot of stairs to get to rooms especially room 9 which was furthest away. a few minor things. Sink pedalstill cracked, cracks in ceiling above bed. Apart from that bed comfortable, facilities good, had 2 night stay 1st breakfast was great 2nd day not as good. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel.

Lovely hotel, old, cosy and quaint. Staff very friendly and pleasant. Parking at the back was a bonus ( note, a little sign would help, missed it the first time and had to go around again). Great breakfast to start the day.

Lovely room and breakfast. Pub was also great. Location excellent. Car Parking was good however the single electric charging point did not work!!
