The Space:

Welcome to our cozy 2-bedroom, 2-bath cabin a peaceful mountain retreat with room for up to 6 guests. Inside you’ll find two queen beds, a full kitchen, comfortable living area, and a warm, rustic vibe perfect for relaxing or gathering with friends or family. Outside, enjoy lake access, a private hot tub, and a fire pit under the stars — ideal for unwinding after a hike or a day exploring. Whether you’re here to explore the mountains, enjoy the lake, or simply escape city life, this cabin offers the comfort and seclusion you need.



Guest Access:

Guests have full access to the entire cabin all bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living room, deck, hot tub, fire-pit area, and the lake-front (when lake access is permitted). Parking is available on-site. Check-in is self-check-in (you get a code/key before arrival), so you won’t need to meet me in person unless you want to.



Interaction with Guests:

I respect your privacy. Unless requested, I won’t be on-site I handle communication via the app. I’m available 24/7 for any questions or issues, and happy to offer local recommendations for hiking, restaurants, or day trips.
During your stay at this cabin, you'll be close to Christendom College. Enjoy features like 1 hot tub and laundry facilities. The cabin includes amenities such as free WiFi and a kitchen.

If you’re looking for a peaceful mountain retreat surrounded by the sounds of nature and a short drive from beautiful horse and wine country this is your place! The cabin itself is very rustic and well appointed with a great front porch that’s perfect for sipping your morning coffee. We appreciated the unique artwork and decor as well. If you want to step out for an easy breakfast, lunch or dinner there’s a great store and restaurant called the Apple House just a ten minute drive away but the cabin has everything you would need if you wanted to stay in and cook instead. Great place!

Excellent Honeymoon Spot

We loved the place and everything about it. We also enjoyed going into Front Royal and driving Skyline Drive! We are city dwellers who love the mountains and hope to settle on a mountain one day!

Quite Tranquil Relaxing

Just needed a day a way with my wife to destress. Spent the afternoon at a few of the local wineries. Spent the evening grilling dinner and relaxing in the hot tub. We definitely enjoyed the visit !

Very cozy

Words cannot express how much we loved spending time at the cabin. I had constant communication with the renter. I even spoke personally with him on the phone when I had a question. Everything worked as it should except for getting the touch top stove to work. I loved the lighting in the cabin, the fireplace was cozy and I really enjoyed the hot tub. I look forward to coming back again for a weekend stay again.It was nice and quiet out in the country. Highly recommend.

The weather and lack of communication made the deficits so much worse.

The cabin was cute, and on a warm and sunny weekend, it would have been fine. But it was the coldest weekend in years, the cabin very drafty (we used our coats to stuff up the crack at front door, and the gas fireplace (the basis for picking this cabin) DIDN'T WORK. It was so cold we slept in our outer wear overnight and woke up to totally frozen pipes. Those were the main problems - we had to leave early because we couldn't bath, make coffee, or clean any dishes. But there were also no instructions in the house about the WIFI, how to use the complicated screen and projector TV set up, or what to do with towels, trash, etc. We arrived a bit early but even after our official check in time, the host hadn't responded to our calls and emails with the door code. The listing (still) claims a fireplace, but no warning that it doesn't work. Let's just say rather than a relaxing getaway, this trip made us feel like we had been tricked and cheated, and long for heat, running water, and a hot shower - we couldn't wait to get home. I asked the host AND VRBO for at least a partial refund. Crickets.

Cozy getaway spot

Coming from Washington DC that weekend getaway spot was definitely needed. I really enjoyed my stay at this location it had everything that we needed even a fire pit that was pretty amazing and i cant forget to mention the amazing view of the mountains as the sun came up. I will definitely will be returning in the near future
