I booked FLH Urbano Hotel through Expedia because it was advertised as recently renovated. I even double-checked photos from both the hotel and past guests on other platforms to make sure it looked clean and updated. Unfortunately, what I walked into was far from what was promised.
Upon arrival, I was hit with a strong musty odor in the room. Within minutes, I suffered an asthma attack due to mold exposure. I requested a room change, but every room I was shown had the same issue—visible mold, dampness, and poor air quality. I had no choice but to leave and book another hotel for my health and safety.
The frustration didn’t end there. FLH Urbano Hotel refused to issue a refund and told me to go through Expedia. I did, but Expedia never received a response from the hotel, and I was left with no refund and no resolution. So now I’ve paid for two hotels, even though I couldn’t stay at the first one due to a legitimate medical concern.
This was not just disappointing—it was infuriating. The lack of accountability and basic hygiene is unacceptable. If you value your health, your money, and your peace of mind, do not stay here.
