The Municipal is full of history & it is incorporated into the hotel design & detail really nicely. The bedrooms (we had a double & a twin room) were comfortable & nicely designed/decorated. The staff we came across were very pleasant & attentive. The spa area is lovely & we used this during our stay. This was at an additional cost which was a little pricey. When booking the hotel I hadn’t realised the pool came at an extra cost, until I had booked it & got the confirmation.

Attending Wedding in Liverpool

Very nice hotel.Will stay again.Its a city hotel so yes the drinks are expensive. Paid £25 for breakfast but it was topnotch. Spa is expensive at £50 for 2 hours. However I went off-peak at 08.00 for £30 which is a bit better. Had 2 requests while there. One for Decaf T-bags and another as we needed toilet rolls. Both requests were met with delivery to room within 10 mins. Excellent service. The whole experience was first class. Thank you

The service at the check in could only be described as boring, coach your team to engage properly rather than asking silly questions, also to read the room. Hotel was not full, but I reckon they put me in the broom cupboard, was shocking for the price i paid. In the toilet, had to squeeze past a wall and sink to get into the toilet.

Best hotel in Liverpool by a mile

Wonderful hotel, multitude of little extra touches that you just don’t get in other hotels nowadays. Simple check, gift of chocolate and a couple of drinks as it was our anniversary and all staff quick to help. Plenty of staff means no unnecessary waiting for drinks/food.

The municipal is a beautiful building and the interior spaces and the room we stayed in did not disappoint. All the staff were friendly and really helpful. I would definitely recommend and will be staying there again when I visit Liverpool.

Nice modern hotel, super atrium with bar. Very good spa and serves an excellent afternoon tea. Bathroom door needs springs tensioning as it slams shut, unfortunately you can hear this in the room above if you are on the first floor.

Fabulous hotel. The rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable. It was very quiet so we all slept well. It is,in easy walking distance for Albert Dock and numerous restaurants and cafes. The Palm Court bar area is stunningand the cocktails are superb. The hotel obviously focuses on Customer Service as every member of staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!
