Beautiful location !

This was a 1 night stop over on a drive through France. Lovely Chateau, off the beaten track. Pool available. French breckfast included. Lots of quirky decorations and 2 lovely english setters about !

Outststanding Chateau in the heart of Vendee

We have been 'Chateau' travelers for 42 years. I cannot count the number of establishments visited. Ch Goujonnerie is 'THE' most charming Chateau we have had the priviledge to stay. It was exceptionally difficult to say goodbye after 5 nights. Isabella, Natalie AND Stephen and Michel were the most charming hosts. We will never forget their care to guests. We look forward to returning again and is a great place for a base camp if you want to visit La Rochell or Il de Re or so many other places along the sea and throughout Vendee. They also offer Gites that some may prefer.

The REAL Chateau experience

This place will spoil you for all other chateau stays in France. The building is a dreamy fairytale structure with a gorgeous pool in the summer. The interior is perfection and for decor or furniture aficionados, worth the price of admission as a primer on how to decorate. Every room is eye candy, as good design should be. The designers (a famous London trio) have spared no expense and it shows. Antiques are juxtaposed against mid-century modern and plenty of whimsical pieces thrown in. The shower rooms constructed within the turrets are amazing. Aside from the interior marvels, the host Stefan was exemplary, making good on a small mix up immediately. Breakfast was the best and Julie offered tips on the area and French life. I will be back.
