This is a great low cost option for summer travelers. The staff are great, the breakfast is generous, the room was clean (albeit old), and the location is fantastic! My biggest complaint were the beds. The mattresses were springy and terrible. We also had a problem with noise outside since many party goers were staying for carnival, but that wasn’t the property’s fault. Overall good value for money, just wish the beds has been more comfortable.

Good location, clean and reasonably priced

Stayed here for the weekend whilst attending BBC Proms. Room spacious and clean with decent shared bathroom, and access to communal kitchen area. Breakfast had good choice and was of a decent quality. Accommodation very close to Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe, and within easy walking distance of buses and Southwark tube station. Price for three nights very reasonable, given the cost of bigger chain hotels that use dynamic pricing. It was very hot over the weekend, so maybe fans could be provided in the rooms during summer months. Other than that, very satisfied and would stay again.

I absolutely loved my stay. I happened to have gotten a bathroom in my room and it was very clean and had everything I needed from clean towels, to shampoo and soap. I slept very well, the bed was clean and well made and the breakfast next day was great!

It is student accomodation but you have everything you need in the room for a hot drink, rest, privacy, to get nice and clean in the hot showers, toiletries and if you are lucky a lovely view too. All the staff I met were brilliant naming Leila, Natasha, Siraya,Amy, Sovna, and particularily Patricia on security. They were all well informed, helpful and cheery! I have been to hotels in London paid much more without such an incredible breakfast offering and not had any of that! The breakfast is up with some of the 4star places I have stayed! As a seasoned expert traveller, I really recommend. The only comment I would make is the canteen staff need to change focus to paying customers in their approach (I could told off in front of people for taking an extra piece of fruit!!!!!! The member of staff apologised personally to me) and the bathroom floor could have been just a little more buff. Nothing to put me off though. Thanks LSE Bankside team. I am already coming back friday night. See you then!x

These is hall of residence for students, the rooms become available at certain times of the year. There are several choices. The basic room we chosen was ok. The service, the staff and security nice people. The breackfast is outstanding for the price! Overall very good. 3 just represents the basic room with 3 beds and enduit toilet & shower. 4 is probably overall experience. 5 for staff and breackfast and location.

For the money that we paid it was a great option. The location is great. It’s near subway station. It is a dormitory for the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. The room was spacious but the mattress are not comfortable. The room was clean but the bathroom facilities were old. The breakfast was way more better than our expectations.
