Stayed with my teenage son for 4 nights. Upon arrival it felt like a timetravel since the rooms were so outdated, whick was kind of fun at first. For its value very pricy but the location was excellent and my son liked the breakfast a lot and was happy with everything, therefore the third star. However, I would not recommend this hotel for anyone. The hotel desperately needs a proper renovation or at least a decent facelifting. Staff was fairly ok.

Breakfast is not fresh but that staff is good. Location is the best part of the stay. The room, bedding, storage, power supplies, and bathroom are all sub par. Bath/shower was dangerously slick even with the mat, towels were old, one small shelf for all your bathroom items, and no bath mat. Fiberglass tub was cracked . In summary: the staff is kind, competent, and accommodating, whereas the owner invests nothing in repairs, buys the cheapest possible food, and provides the minimum to guests.

The hotel is eccentric. It is clean, comfortable and staff are helpful and welcoming. Myself, partner and 3 month old baby stayed for a weekend. We will be back again next year.

Breakfast just needs to have a little bit more variety like some pastries maybe sausage and just not Canadian bacon. The bar needs to have more options of red wine and need to offer club soda. It goes well with vodka.

Luv the staff! Nice, informative and very accommodating! The hotel itself has definitely seen its glory days but I honestly think in its present this adds to its charm. I love the english breakfast and looked forward to it everyday that we were there. The rooms were definitely smaller than the more updated hotels but it suited our needs. I would recommend this hotel for its accessibility so close to Paddington station.

Mitre House London

This is the second time I've stayed at the Mitre House. While the rooms are small, as is typical in London, they're very clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. A fine English breakfast is available. It's convenient location near Paddington Station makes accessing the Tube a breeze. Highest recommendation.

Breakfast choices were great and staff was very efficient and friendly. The front desk staff was very helpful with any questions and provided helpful information. The hotel was just a block from Paddington station from where we walked from/to the hotel from the Heathrow on the Elizabeth Line. Also the Lancaster Underground and Bus stops were only 1-1/2 blocks away.

Breakfast was terrible. We decided to go buy breakfast the remainder of our holiday. I went to the bathroom after breakfast and witnessed a staff member leave the bath and not wash her hands (hopefully she wasn’t on food duty!!! ). Beds were comforting we slept really well. The shower head is filthy with like a lime build up…. Super easy to clean and I don’t understand how it has never been cleaned by the looks of it. Picked up my suitcase and a carpet moth was on it. I could see part of the carpet torn up. There is no room to put your luggage anywhere, we had it in the doorway which isn’t safe but where else can we keep it The gentleman working the nights (9pm? ) dark curly hair is super helpful. We had a nice chat about foxes! It’s an old hotel that can really do with maintenance and general aesthetic fixing up. But a great location within minutes of paddington station and comfortable beds.

Rooms were small but functional. Daily maid service, free English breakfast, and cozy downstairs bar made our stay excellent. The front desk staff (especially Mo) could not have been more helpful or friendly. Location was very close to Paddington train station and was very safe and convenient to shops and restaurants. Highly recommend.

This hotel is in fairly quiet area very close to Paddington station. Very helpful staff, clean with an excellent sit down breakfast. Room was very small with no climate control. Very old place so if you’re looking for modern this ain’t for you.
