I booked asking specifically for a high room and a QUIET room. I paid online in full. When I got to reception, I was told I had to pay again. I was told that no payment had been made. I paid. The room had no coffee, teas, cup, saucer, spoons, no towels and it didn't look made-up. I had to ask a maid for some of these things as they were in the halls doing up rooms, the hotel was full. The noise ALL NIGHT above my ceiling was hard to believe. It was as if a JCB was driving around combined with a Clog dancing class - as well as this, there would also be huge loud bangs as though huge objects were being dropped. I sincerely believe the hotel was booked full and I was not given a proper room. I went online in my room and went to my bank and I HAD PAID $99.80. This charge had been debited from my card 2 days prior. So I had to go down to reception, show them and get them to attempt to refund the second payment they made me pay for a room which I believe SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR GUESTS. It must be under some kind of work room. I am going to demand a refund. It was imperative I get sleep as I had such a lot of travel ahead and before. Especially as I had made a specific request for a quiet room. I truly believe the Hotel was overbooked. And, my room, paid for 6 days earlier, had gone to someone else. It was awful, worse nights sleep I ever had.
