Room leaking

Staff were great, room was clean but tired and gloomy, bed was comfy. But it was so hot, couldn't turn the rad down nor could staff. Room was not worth the cost at all, very overpriced. To top it off, we woke very early due to water pouring in through the ceiling and no power. Staff were very apologetic, offered to move us but we'd had enough, we were only there for one night and had planned to wake at leisure, coffee in bed, shower etc Very disappointed to only get refunded about 40% of total price (this came from management not front of house staff who felt we deserved 100%. I wouldn't of cared less if room had cost £150 but we paid £340 for one night! And when I see water was pouring, I am not exaggerating, it was pouring down the walls and through the recessed lights, the carpet was saturated, I videoed it all but cannot upload due to the file size so have taken screen shots that don't really show the extent of it.

Grungy hotel comfy bed.Appearance can be deceptive

This was a very last minute booking. My original - current accommodation has been a disaster. I needed somewhere to be able to sleep without distractions. The hotel looks a bit grungy. But I am a chronic insomniac and very stressed sleep deprived and I managed a good couple of hours. Bed in tiny antiqued room was actually very clean and comfortable. The front office people were very chirpy and offered very accurate directions to for a good location to get a wide variety of cafe/restaurants. Try not to be put off by hotel appearance.

The front desk woman from Slovakia is warm, helpful and hospitable. The room was spacious enough and clean and a couple blocks from Bayswater Tube, Hyde Park ( pond with swans) and Sainsburys plus a market street!

We only stayed here because we'd stayed here the last time Sunderland played at Wembley, and Sunderland WON. That was the only reason. 2 visits, 3 years apart and still no curtains. And why in May is the temperature turned up to the highest setting? 3 beds, and 3 pillows, no spares, and not enough towels for a room of 3 people. Shower was alright though. Location is good though. One minute from the main street in Bayswater and the 2 Tube stations. 10 minutes walk from Paddington stations and about 3 or 4 minutes from Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park. It is a lovely area to be honest and very leafy. But would only stay here again if Sunderland get back to Wembley, as its now our lucky hotel.

Perfect for our needs!

Enjoyed our stay in Noting Hill area and near Hyde Park. Super safe and fairly accessible to metros. Great restaurants nearby too. The room was great for our family of 3.

Cool hotel in a beautiful part of the city, receptionists were great (I have no idea what her name was but she was absolutely lovely) Hotel is in a great location with so much to see and do nearby.

Functional rather than comfortable

A good location with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops on nearby Queensway. Quiet with little external noise. The room was sparsely furnished, no chair and no workspace. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom could do with refurbishment. In particular, the decor was in poor condition and the wash basin did not drain properly. Ok for a couple of nights.

I won’t come back

Room was small, hanging space was partially over the bed, no seat/chair. Bathroom window wouldn’t close, radiator either on (very hot) or off. Single flat pillow, very hard mattress. Whole place could do with a good scrub. Water pressure in the shower was good!
