i paid extra for a kitchenette but the front lobby says she'll send someone up with coffee packets SOMETIME AFTER 6PM!!! I offered to go downstairs and get it myself but she said no, not possible for her to get any. I guess managers aren't allowed access to the room supplies? $200/night and i can't get coffee until after 6pm?!? are you kidding me??? but at least there are twenty or so homeless junkies at the front door!

no blackout drapes (like advertised), not even remotely soundproof (like advertised), no coffee for the kitchentte (like advertised). But at least the entire property is surrounded (literally) on all sides by homeless junkies looking like they will stab you for a nickel. Multiple calls to the lobby went ignored and the signs pointing to the guest laundry are false - no laundry room where the signs are. $200/night for nothing but lies and false advertising, and bad service. we had a choice down to two places and choose Sandman for the newspapers and blackout drapes. without the drapes we are forced awake at the crack of dawn each morning with the sun glaring directly in your eyes and there is nothing you can do about it (technically there ARE black out drapes, they just don't qualify as blackout drapes when THEY CANNOT BE CLOSED!!!!!) holiday ruined, thanks expedia and sandman.

The staff is really nice, but the location is really bad. It is beside a homeless shelter , the girl at the front desk was telling me that at night the homeless are trying to open all the cars door that are parked in their parking lot behind the hotel I was feeling so uncomfortable that I left as fast a i got there….

Staff was friendly. The property is surrounded by shelters and a high level of homelessness and addicts. The rooms appeared clean but walls were covered in dust. The foyer carpets are badly stained and are in desperate need of replacement or at the very least a shampoo!

I don’t usually have the need to send hotels emails however this warrants it. My employees experience at the Sandman Hotel in London, Ontario was so disturbing that I feel obligated to speak up. From the moment he arrived, the surroundings were unsettling—there were individuals clearly under the influence loitering around the property, making it feel unsafe and unwelcoming. Inside, things went from bad to worse. His room was infested with cockroaches. He spotted them crawling on the dresser around his food, I could only imagine how many were in and around the area. It is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. The room felt dirty and poorly maintained, and I couldn’t sleep comfortably knowing the hygiene was so compromised.

The place is very shabby, watched two people pass out, needing a arcan dose. Toilet very low, and not flushing well. Along with the 5 am wake-up call to us that was not requested. Stayed there as its Canadian owned. Opps!
