We absolutely loved the Baileys. It’s beautiful and the rooms are gorgeous- at least ours was. The decorating is very elegant and the room was spacious. The tube station is literally across the street. We didn’t bother with taxis or Ubers at all. It can be a little noisy on the street at night from the pub across the street but it shuts down early so not a problem. There are some okay restaurants but I was surprised at the fast food places- Starbucks, KFC and Burger King all in a row, which might please some people but doesn’t speak “London” to me. However there are some good places - you just need to walk a little bit. Elixis (I think) good lunch spot. Dishoom - amazing Indian fusion about 15 minute walk. (Make sure you book) You can walk to the Victoria and Albert and the Museum of Natural History also Kensington Gardens and Palace. All within about 15 minutes. Kensington is very beautiful just to walk around and look at the amazing buildings. The breakfast at the hotel is excellent. Lots of choice. Fantastic croissants!! The bar is lovely too. In the room, lots of things I really appreciated- like a built in adaptor for North American plugs as well as USB plug ins. Iron and ironing board. Lovely thick fluffy towels and super comfortable beds. The staff was great and helpful. Honestly I don’t have a single negative thing to say about our stay. I was just so sad to leave.

Very nice stay, spacious rooms (for London!), helpful concierge/doormen and good vegetarian room service menu! The only minor comment I'd make to the Room Staff would be to consider what's been used by guests ... and please replenish exactly that! ... so since my wife is a big coffee drinker, then notice that the coffee pods have been consumed and add a couple of replacements ... Great location, check-in problematic, no outlet near bed to plug-in Cpap device..Julia and ‘Magic’ - staff members, were eventually able to find an extension cord. Stay eventually worked out fine.

LA TENTATA TRUFFA DELLA CAMERA

VERA E PROPRIA TENTATA TRUFFA hanno provato a darmi una camera di 12mq in luogo di quella da me prenotata di 25mq. Con un personale molto scortese il check in è durato 1 ora e mezza. Le due persone all'accoglienza con fare molto indisponente e arrogante, hanno provato a farmi credere che la camera da me riservata, accogliente e spaziosa, come quella da foto sui siti (25mq), fosse invece quella piccola (12mq). Mi hanno fatto anche visitare altre 3 camere cercando di convincermi che la camera di 25mq da me prenotata fosse quella. Invece dopo di 1ora e mezza hanno finalmente ceduto. INCREDIBILE NON MI ERA MAI CAPITATO. Aggiungo anche che le foto caricate sui siti di prenotazione sono quelle della camera che mi hanno dato dopo una estenuante fatica. PESSIMO IL PERSONALE tale OWEN arrogante e scortese. Solo dopo 1 ora e mezza, quando ho insistito facendo vedere anche i dettagli riferiti al letto (queen), presente nella prenotazione, mi hanno trovato la camera che avevo pagato. Evidentemente la giornata ed il piacere del soggiorno era ormai stato compromesso
