Very warm and welcoming stafr from front desk to Isla breakfast room and bar. Hotel is superbly located for Kings X and St Pancras, and despite this, the rooms are quiet and peaceful. Beds are huge and very comfortable.

We had a wonderful first stay at the Standard. The hotel is very up market and our room was spacious and stylish with modern amenities. We stayed in a suite with a dining area, bath in the room and balcony. It was perfect for our first family trip away with our one year old daughter. Having room service available was brilliant so we could have breakfast in the room before getting ready for the day. Lastly, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Really can't fault our stay and wish it had been longer.

Terrible Room

This is one of the worst hotels we've stayed in. The room had no windows, the lighting was terrible and the overly attempt to be trendy with room decor was tired and worn. We couldn't figure out how to turn out one of the lights when we went to bed and had to have someone come up. It was totally non obvious knob that turned out the shower light. It's an amazing location but I'm sure there are other options that would be better. The Standard is the standard for bad hotels. We will never stay here again.
