The Queen Mary was a wonderful experience and a great way to step back into the golden era of cruise ships. The ship retains many of its original details, truly transporting you to the 1920s. Our room was appropriately sized for the type of accommodation and featured a bay window. During our stay we had access to key areas of the ship. I appreciate how well they’ve preserved the ship’s original design and tied everything to its rich history. The staff were very helpful, both at the front desk and in the shops and gift stores. Overall, it’s a unique and nostalgic experience that’s definitely worth a visit.

We stayed on Saturday, just me and my husband. The room was clean and very roomy. We stayed in the delux king with harber view. The entire boat is clean and well kep. We enjoyed our ghost hunting experience. We loved Sunday brunch on the ship. The food was great. We plan to return with the kids in December.

We stayed here because it was walkable to the carnival cruise terminal. This hotel was the best hotel we ever stayed at. It’s the Queen Mary ship we got to explore the whole ship from the sundeck to the engine room. Some say it’s haunted. Weird thing we did the haunted tour my husband lost his bottle of water somewhere on the tour we woke up in the morning are carpet was soaking wet near his suitcase. I think that the ghost were returning his water! The food was outstanding, shops on board made you feel like you were on a cruise. I want to book my next cruise out of that port so I can go back to that awesome hotel!

The ship is beautiful. One major complaint was that there was what we think was a fire drill in which the staff was unprofessional during the drill. The staff need more practice as if it was a real emergency. The staff was smiling and seemed not to take it seriously. I only say that I think there was a fire drill as no one advised us at anytime even at the end. There was no Thankyou for participating. I was roused from my bed for this and would have appreciated more information at the end. The walls were very thin and our neighbor had the television on all night and she was talking on her phone very late as well. It seems not everyone took quiet hours seriously. We had dinner at the Promenade Cafe which was not good. The food needs to be improved but service was good. The Midship market place did not offer decaf espresso drinks and only had drip decaf which was very bad and watery with a bad attitude from the staff. Many people especially those with health issues and the elderly often need decaffeinated coffee and a good cup of coffee makes the day better. The pastries offered were also not very good. Overall I would recommend the Queen Mary as a one night stay but not for the food or the good night’s sleep.

Fire alarm ruined otherwise nice stay, revealed safety issues. Have an evacuation plan in place if you stay here. Stayed one night, had great drinks in the art deco bar, nice dinner, staff was great at check in. About half an hour after falling asleep a speaker in our room announced there was a fire on our floor and to evacuate. There are doors that automatically close in the hall walls so I was disoriented and couldn’t find the exit. I ran into other guests trying to find an exit. Some of the exit signs take you in a loop. I finally made my way to the lobby. Was told they didn’t know why it went off and was under investigation. So… is there a fire somewhere? I walked around and found the exits in case I needed to leave again. Couldn’t sleep for an hour while I read review after review about the fire alarm. So, I would go for drinks and recommendation a tour, but wouldn’t feel safe staying the night again.

I have to call several times for them to fix the tv it should work but not I have to call 3 times to cool not comfortable temperature & noise give me ear plugs what is that .....I understand is old that don't mean the shouldn't fix that problem they charge the same as other places that's wrong .....don't clean or pick trash everyday in the room wrong ....not bus to go downtown charge for parking while you stay there.....not swimming pool wrong it should work charge $ for tour for the people who stay there wrong I don't stay again there that place is for only one stay not more that staff at the entry was talking with other staff about their life not scanning for how to help customer they should do that when is not one to help i have to wait for them finish talking please not coloring page when you at work

Staying in an art deco masterpiece is truly an experience not to be missed. The Queen Mary makes you feel like you are traveling back to the late 30s and presents scenes right out of history and of period movies. While, it cannot compete for the size of the rooms or the number of modern fixtures and electrical plugs in a room, such as in a generic hotel chain, I defy any of those modern chains to match the excitement when feels when they have a drink at the observation bar, a masterpiece from the 30s, paneled with 20 different types of rare wood, or when they walk up and down the promenade deck to feel the grandeur of 1000 foot ship which was the greatest way to travel for a period of close to 25 years.
