I was welcomed graciously after a long, hard drive. The check in was quick and easy. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The next morning I was able to workout alone and then enjoy breakfast in a nice setting. I was, however, very disappointed that the pool wasn’t open for the season, as the day was going to be lovely and warm and a quick swim would have helped me in my travels. I would suggest they list their pool closures on the website so families that promise their kids time to swim aren’t disappointed. Since I was alone this trip it wasn’t a dealbreaker and everything else was great.

Property was well maintained. The may reason I will not return to this hotel is their VERY poor WIFI. With all the hotels in Lubbock to compete with, they offer WIFI that is just above dialup. If you have to use your computer during you stay, DONT bother.

Clean, spacious hotel room and the staff was very friendly. Ours just happened to have a leaky toilet so it was a little noisy. Conveniently located near restaurants and shops. Complimentary breakfast was ok—bagel was a little hard and apple juice was little watered down per my daughter. Overall, a nice stay.

Book 2 rooms at the same time and we’re not even put on the same floor. The manager was upset that she had to wait on visitors because 5 different families showed up at once. She snapped at me and my mother and then changed her tone when we looked at each other very confused. The breakfast was not stocked. There was very little choices.

From the start, bad, bad. We are 2 couples, 2 rooms reserved. We arrived at 7 p.m. last night and the young woman at the desk was not the least friendly. We were not supposed to be charged until we checked in, she only asked for my ID, then she said my card had already been charged, for BOTH rooms, when we wanted to be charged separately. She said she couldn't do that and that the policy was to close out the charges at 3:00 p.m. Then, there was almost no water pressure in the bath sink, there was mold in the faucet, no hot water in shower until it was on for several minutes and then barely warm. The breakfast eggs, sausage were hard like they were left over from another day. When we left I asked the girl, a different one, to remove my credit card from their records; I will follow up on that for sure. We won't stay here again, and maybe no other La Quinta, either.
