Ellery Cottage is a modern, newly-renovated cabin set in the mountains of Luray, just a short walk from the Shenandoah River and a brief drive from downtown. In the cooler months, the setting feels especially peaceful, making it easy to unwind after a day exploring the area or simply enjoying the comforts of the cottage.
Sleeping arrangements
The cottage comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests across three bedrooms and a living area. One bedroom features a queen bed, while the other two bedrooms each include a queen/twin bunk bed. In the living room, a pull out sofa offers additional sleeping space. Bed linens, extra pillows, and blankets are provided to keep everyone comfortable during crisp mountain nights.
Living space
Single level living and no stairs make settling in easy. The main living area is designed for gathering, with natural light, comfortable seating, and a TV for relaxed evenings of streaming. WiFi is available for movies or video calls, though service may occasionally be slower due to the remote mountain location. Central air conditioning and heating keep the space comfortable year-round.

We often take our three little kids and dog to the cottage with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but given the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or other outdoor elements—especially during certain seasons. Nature has a way of leaving its mark, no matter how often we tidy up, and we appreciate your understanding.
Wi-Fi is provided, though service can occasionally be slower or spotty due to the remote mountain location. We recommend downloading any essential content in advance so you can fully relax and enjoy your stay.
