4 Night stay during business trip (solo)

I stayed at this hotel during a business trip to Lyon for the Congrès de Lyon, and it was an excellent experience. The location could not have been more convenient—just a one-minute walk from the conference venue, which made attending sessions and networking incredibly easy. The hotel itself exceeded expectations. The room was exceptionally spacious, almost like a studio apartment, with a fully equipped kitchen and dining area—perfect for longer stays or simply having the comfort of extra space. Their breakfast, offered at an affordable price, was more than sufficient to start the day well. I also really appreciated the staff at the front desk. They were consistently respectful, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, it was a seamless and comfortable experience that I would definitely recommend for anyone attending events at the Congrès or visiting Lyon for business.

This is not a hotel but a managed apartment. Checkin was slow and 1-hour early checkin was denied. No cleaning service during my 2-night stay. They even wanted to charge 10 euros to get a towel. Minimum amenity. Worst part: Expedia price was 10 euro more than the front desk price.

I recently stayed at Montempo, Cité International in Lyon for two weeks and had a great experience. I was accommodated in a spacious 2-bed studio equipped with an electric hob, fridge, and microwave. The service and cleanliness were excellent, which made my stay comfortable. There were only few minor inconveniences. The microwave lacked a grill or oven function, which limited my cooking options. Additionally, the liquid bathing soap provided ran out quickly, and I had to use the duvets from both beds for extra warmth. Despite these small issues, the location was incredibly convenient for my meetings at Cité International. Overall, I highly recommend Montempo for its good service, cleanliness and convenience.

My stay was great. The staff was kind and very easy to talk to in English. The room was clean and had everything I needed for my trip. Sometimes at night, the elevator was a bit loud, and it wasn't enjoyable, but other than that, I thoroughly recommend this place.

Great location if attending a congress at the congress venue. Rooms equipped for minimal self catering and very comfortable. Breakfast is ok, however, probably not worth 12 Eur.

Nice hotel for business trip

I stayed here for a conference. The place was clean and I liked having a fridge and a kitchenette. There was air conditioning too. My only complaint (tiny one) is only one elevator was working while I was staying there and sometimes I had to wait quite a while.

We got an apartment for families without division into zones. However, when we booked, pictures of the apartment had a wall. Living with two adults and two teenagers in one room was uncomfortable. It was not proposed to compensate it somehow.

Perfect base for a couple of days passing through Lyon. Easy to park and ideal for exploring the Tete d’Or. Rooms were clean and had had good amenities, easy access using key cards.

The location with several hotels in the area that provided places to eat meals and pick up other food was outstanding. The front desk at the hotel would do well to put together a list of places to eat both in the immediate area and across the river, which is adjacent to the hotel.

Very clean, modern, comfortable accommodations. Staff is young and friendly, although I interacted with them in French, they look perfectiy capable of conversing in English. Love the proximity to the large park. A bit far for walking to downtown Lyon, but public transportation is upfront. For people coming by car, parking and hotel signage is non existant. I did struggle to figure out which parking entrance and deck level to choose, where to exit to get to hotel lobby. There were plenty of signs to other hotels but not to this hotel. Overall, great place and great stay.

This property is in a good location and is a good price but it has the feel of a dormitory, not a hotel. It is also not well maintained. For example our shower door was broken, a cabinet door was broken, some of the lights did not work, and one of the two elevators was not working.

Poor condition

Condition of the room was rather poor and there was a bad smell in the whole building which made the whole stay disappointing. Some examples of the small but annoying issues: safe was unusable, room door had to be shut extremely in order to close properly, issues with flushing the toilet, broken shower hose, unused holes on the wall for screws of old hair dryer, fire alarm found inside the safe, elevator LED did not show that it would come etc.

Lyon summer 2019 World Cup trip

Great location. Bus stop is literally outside the door of the hotel. Very clean and large (by French standards) rooms. Across the street from a beautiful park and zoo. Very good Italian restaurant in the same complex and a surprisingly good little Lebanese snack place that I wish would have been open more during our stay.
