Our stay was awesome other than the fact that our personal jacuzzi was dirty, being s previous house keeper I know to check the jacuzzi by running It before EVER getting into it, and it was FILTHY. also it think it’s great that myself and my boyfriend got passes to the water park, however the water park should say it’s SPECIFICALLY for children, and after I noticed that, it was fine, because I noticed they had a huge well heated pool and awesome big jacuzzi PLUS a sauna! For the adults! , however the sauna Did not work!! And that really sucked!! The bed was a king however it most luxury hotel rooms and for the price the mattress is much better than the one that was provided! But the room was very clean, that staff was great, although a little slow cause they were short staffed. I’m would probably end up booking at a different hotel where I know the beds are better and there is a water park for both adults and kids. overall out of 10 I would rate my stay a solid 6, and that’s only because without my voucher the rate for the deluxe room with the hands for the park just wasn’t worth it, considering how dirty the jacuzzi was and the fact that the bed could have been way comfier(considering other stays in cheaper hotels in mackinaw) and the fact that the water park wasn’t for adults at all and the sauna being broken.

It is a very outdated hotel. The staff was very nice. Our blow dryer was broken and the lady at the desk gave me one right away. It’s very outdated. Definitely not up kept with maintenance. If something is broken? It’s definitely not getting fixed. Very convenient for walking distance to anywhere. The water park was ok, again just not kept up on or cleaned correctly. Overall ok for the price.

The Crown Choice Hotel and Waterpark used to be the Crown Jewel in Mackinaw City when I was younger. This trip, the front staff didn’t know how to get us to our room except going outside in the rain (we could have taken the stairs in the lobby to second floor and gotten there); the Junior Suite we stayed in wasn’t cleaned when we requested, and there were no utensils provided as they have been prior. The breakfast option is no longer — LOTS of space that is unused or unadvertised sadly and not taken care of! The waterpark that was so beloved has broken faucets (9 that I counted!), the pool and hot tub were not cleaned, and the drain covers were broken, and the sauna is missing a knob so that is out of service for something that is an easy fix. There is so much work to be done during the winter season for the staff to do in order for us to stay again. Also, the breakfast coupons for the Lighthouse Restaurant were NOT accepted; we paid full price for breakfast and had a horrible server. Probably this was my worst experience in MC.

Pool filter was not properly filtering out things floating in the pool. The amount of chlorine in the pool was acceptable, however the water was very cloudy, had a lot of foreign matter floating in the pool and wasn’t the best kept up.

Our room was not as expected. There was mold in the corners of the room and the wall paper was coming off the walls from possible moisure in the room. The bed definitely needed to be replaced and felt like an old camper mattress. Thin, springy, and concaving to the center. Will not be staying again.
