OK hotel

It’s an older hotel that needs some updating, but the bed was comfortable and overall very quiet. Pool is not the cleanest. One of our rooms was overbooked, which was frustrating because someone knocked on our door at 7 o’clock in the morning because they thought our room should be there. That was very frustrating. Staff is friendly.

Awful. What a trainwreck it’s been to try and get someone to take responsibility for booking a reservation through Expedia and ultimately I had adjusted it down to one night and the front loaded almost the entire two night original charge onto one night to benefit them. They never sent me an updated amount or an agreed-upon nightly rate for me to be able to know ahead of time that they were frontloading the reservation, far far above the average price per night. This was already a premium because of an event going on in town. They ended up charging me $356 for one night at a grimy disgusting super eight motel. It was so gross that we opted to drive the five hours home that night rather than to stay there. Number one advice don’t book through a third-party vendor, number two advice don’t stay at this disgusting hotel. To top it all off when we were checking in the front desk person had their AirPods and the whole time talking to somebody in the language that we couldn’t understand and told me they were only taking my credit card to have on file for damages and ultimately, I never signed anything agreeing to the incredibly inflated nightly rate. Just bad customer service all around.

Staff was nice. Let us check in half hour early. Carpets were dirty. Room was hot had to run air on hi and low temperature to get it cooled off. Community bathroom was filthy and informed staff it was out of paper towel and it was filthy when we checked in and it was still the same way when we checked out. Hot tub was cloudy and jets didn’t work well.

My initial room stunk from marijuana smoke. I had to leave it because I couldn’t breathe. Whenever I walked down any corridor I could smell marijuana smoking from many rooms

Paid way over price for this and was in terrible shape, room musty and been smoked in, old furniture and carpet!! One of the most run down places I’ve stayed in. So disappointed!

Wouldn’t stay again

This was the only available hotel for under $250 at the time I stayed there. I travel a lot and this is the worst hotel room I have been to. The room looks like it hasn’t been updated since 1990s, it smelled (not bad, just an old room smell), there was mold in the shower. The door connecting my room to the next room did not lock on my side, so that anyone from the adjacent room could have come into my room during my stay. That made me very uncomfortable. The bed was okay, the pillows were small, hard and uncomfortable. The room temperature was comfortable, the noise level okay. I could hear people in the next room watching TV, but it was not loud.

It’s a super 8, so don’t go in with high expectations and you’ll be satisfied. It’s an older hotel, but overall pretty clean. Beds are pretty firm but fine, good breakfast, and good pool/hot tub. Works great when you need a place to sleep for the night and there’s no other options!

Uncomfortable bed, too expensive for what it is

If you are going to Madison for an event and this hotel is charging $300+ for a night, choose another hotel. The bed was uncomfortable and the hotel is pretty run down. The pool area was fun and the breakfast was okay (but not for paying 300+ for a room one night) dog friendly so if you don’t want to hear a dog bark, don’t choose this one.

Glad it was only one night.

Stayed for one night with my kids. Beds were okay, bathroom was very small. Decor is outdated, parking is easy, but lot is in poor condition. The walls were literally falling apart on the stairwell. Staff was efficient, cost was reasonable, but I would not stay here again.
