Think Travelodge España and you won’t go far wrong although it was more expensive. Relatively handy for the train station which is why we chose it. Many other better and no more expensive hotels and apartments in Madrid.

Great location near Atocha train station (not walking distance with luggage) with plenty of food options nearby. The hotel should offer free water (two bottles a day is a norm at other hotels) and a coffee machine in the room for the guests.

Good,Basic Hotel. Excellent for a quick pitstop

Good hotel for a overnight stop, before catching the train. Room is small and basic, everything we need go one night, might be a bit tight for two people any longer than a couple nights .

This hotel is far out from all important sites in Madrid. Unable to walk to these sites. You need transportation to be able to move around. There are only two restaurant in this area.
