Hostal Veracruz is clean and safe. Single rooms are small, cozy and functional, with private bathrooms and air conditioner. The rooms combine modern furnishings and fixtures with the traditional architecture of the building. The hostal is centrally located in the Puerta del Sol area; a great location, especially for solo travelers, with countless restaurants, bars and cafes and shops nearby, and within walking distance from major attractions such as the Prado Museum, El Retiro park, and the Royal Palace.

We stayed there twice in two weeks. Overall was a good stay. The second stay, our room was out of WIFI service. Needed to work and was unable to work because wifi was out of range. Depending what side of the Hostal you stay on, the street noise can go into 330am. Good staff and great area.

The property was in the best location possible for a first time visitor to Madrid. It was clean but very small- not sure how they managed to make the photos look so roomy. The check in was easy and everythong you want to experience and see is nearby.

Muy limpio, bien ubicado, habitaciones remodeladas/ recicladas a pesar de ser un edifico viejo. Staff muy amable. En el baño no hay secador pero te lo prestan, cambio de toallas cuando lo solicitas y limpieza diaria Un poco ruidoso ya que abajo hay mucho movimiento. Sin duda muy opción para una corta estadía en Madrid!
