It was a very convenient location as I was attending a function just across the car park. The bar staff were amazing at the function. Staff at reception were also amazing. The accommodation is comfortable, just old, it had everything I needed for the night stay over.

For a 4 night stay, I was put in a room next to the loading dock for the pub. Cold room refrigeration motor noise all night, then delivery trucks early hours of the morning, not only being very loud but being left running so my room filled with diesel exhaust fumes. I observed plenty of empty rooms further away from the noise. Although the room was clean, it’s very obvious that an old, dirty mop is used. Edges and corners of the tiled floors were disgraceful, as was the build up of dust/grime on shelves and around bathroom windows. Bathroom linen was old and tattered with frayed edges.

Room was tired - dirty/marked walls and dirt engrained into the tiles in the living area and bathroom. The hotel is on Alice Street which leads to the Bruce Highway, meaning there was traffic noise throughout the night. Can't recommend and wouldn't stay here again.

The room we stayed in was an older style, but it was clean and very comfortable with a wonderfully sized shower head to wash the day away. Whilst we were close to the bistro and bar on a Friday night, the noise didn't carry and I had the best sleep ever- not even car noises being close to the main road because it was set back a bit which was great and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was well priced and absolutely delicious. Even our breakfast room service was delivered exactly when asked and piping hot- couldn't be happier with our stay.

The room we had was very average. It was right outside the bottle-shop which was noisy with trucks in the morning. Unfortunately the bed we had was very soft and we kept rolling in together. No blanket just a sheet and the bedspread which I took off as soon as we entered the room. We had to have the heater on all night to keep warm which was really noisy so not a lot of sleep was had. Would not stay here again.
